This is a new one for me. Just changed the oil and filter the other day. The filter housing is holding pressure once it has been built up. What can hold the pressure in the filter boss for over 24 hrs? |

Sorry can't help with the problem but just wondering what prompted you to detect this issue? Are you somehow measuring the oil pressure before and after the filter? |

oil light worked normal till after the oil change. then it never came back on. changed out the switch. changed out the switch, functioned normal till shut down. No light after that. backed the filter off and heard it release pressure and light came on. changed filter thinking new filter was faulty. Not that either as the new filter is doing the same thing. Guess I am droppin the pump this weekend and pulling out the check valve in the housing boss. |
