I would really like to find a good dealer to take my XB12S to as well. I live in the North West Valley, by Glendale and Peoria. Let me know if you find a good place.

I am a certified Tech, and I live in North Phx. I dont have a shop, but know the XB pretty well. What type of work are you refering to? I worked at Hacienda, and it is a crappy shop! Only other choice is Chandler, and they are not any better! Hit me up and let me know what you are interested in having done! sinsitycustoms@yahoo.com

i have had harleys for 40 years. have 3 right now. since buying a buell for the twistys i have found that i am treated like a step child. the local shop (chandler) stocks literally nothing for buells. i had called for head light bulb, oil filter, manual, axel removal tool and frame touch up paint. was told nothing in stock. i would have to drive 100 miles round trip to pay in advance then wait 3-4 weeks then drive anouther 100 miles to get basic stuff.
unreal. found oil filter and head light at napa. found manual o line.. put decal over spot needing painted.
this after waiting a month for tires. bout ready to sell it and have only ridden it maybe 50 miles.... oh well...

Okay, So what IS the status of Arizona Buell dealerships. The Buell website lists

1. Grand Canyon Buell (3 locations, Prescott, Mayer, and Bellemont)

2. Chandler Buell

3. Arrowhead Buell

4. Hacienda Buell

5. Sierra Vista Buell

6. Buell of Tucson

Hacienda and Chandler appear to not have good reputations. What of the others? I'm in Chandler so Sierra Vista is a bit too far out of the way.

Cant help you there mark.
maybe do what i did.
buy parts and manual on line. get help/advice here and do your own work.
oh, and i am not ready to sell it since i have now put on hundreds of miles. lol. my other harleys gonna need batteries charged from lack of riding.
i can see a lot of work though. having to take a lot of parts off to do simple mech things. hope it dosent need as much work as my sporty.
was really surprised to find transmission is sealed in cases. no more trap door access. that sucks. step 1 pull motor and completly disassemble it to get to transmission.

Well that kind of stinks. I was getting a bit worried when the local dealers turned out to be of no help on the sales side.

I'm mechanically adept and have a good workspace and tools. Getting dirty does not bother me. My sole concern is if a warranty issue should come up, where's it safe to take the bike?

My experience with Chandler HD's service is through a friend. CHD mounted his new rear tire, backward. When he brought this to their attention, they did not exactly jump to fix the problem. He had to make an appointment and leave the bike for 1/2 day. When we went to pick up the bike it was not ready, and when we finally left an hour later, my friend found that they'd neglected to tighten the bolts attaching a muffler and some other bracket.

Any opinions on Arrowhead? They are about 30 miles away, but that's closer than Flagstaff.

I have raced Buells in the past and am currently building another Buell racer. I'm a certified Master in chassis, electrical, and powertrain. I work at Superstition HD. We do not service Buell there but I would be happy to service anyones Buell at my home. You can email me ckoch01@cox.net.

I've purchased two Buells from Arrowhead, and have always been treated pretty well.

If your on the east side, and do not have to worry about warranty work, go to Chandler Custom cycles on AZ ave in Chandler. I used to bring my bikes there when I lived on the east side and they always treated me well, and had VERY reasonable rates...

Don't ever go to Tucson Arizona to service a Buell. I'm not sure if it is the fact that I have a Buell and not a Harley or the stealership is just plain crap... Either way major crap service and no parts support. Quick to sell you one though.

Hacienda H-D. Wanted to cull the heard so told a salesman I was willing to trade my 04 Ultra(still owe 5K) and my M2 in on either a 07 leftover 07 STT with a few extras I wanted, or a 08 XT, Even across. He said OK, 2 bikes for one, no problem (yea right) Wanted over MSRP ($10.5) on the 07, I said I can get a 09 SS for less($10.) I then asked about the 08 XT, Same deal, no markdown. And somehow now they wanted 4K more out of my pocket. They wanted to give me $500. for my M2, and offered to buy my 04 outright for 8K, I asked if that included them paying off my note, of course they said NO. So much for NO Problem.

After purchasing my second bike from Arrowhead, my '08 ULY, and experiencing multiple problems, I found the service department to be lacking.
The service writer, a former Chandler HD/Buell employee, speaks the Buell talk, but walks the Harley walk.
I was unable to get all the warranty issues with my '08 resolved through Arrowhead, and ended up going to Hacienda, which wasn't much better.
My bike was surging and shifting hard, the service writer at Arrowhead, told me "there's nothing wrong with your transmission, and what you think is surging is actually your front forks going over bumps"...
OK, so my 45 years of riding and wrenching has gained me no experience? Hacienda found the tranny problem, an improperly installed shift shaft seal, installed by Arrowhead when they worked on my tranny the first time. (fixed one problem and created a new one) Hacienda also, called in a Buell rep from the factory to help them with the surging, after a month in the shop, all they could tell me is, "all the '08's do that".
I ended up filing a lemon law claim on that bike, and have since won the claim, Harley paid me what I had into the bike, and I also got to keep the POS.

Bottom line, there isn't a good dealership you can trust here in Phoenix, or Tucson.
Most of them are owned by Ride Now, and Hacienda just wants your $$$.
But... at least Hacienda WILL try to fix your bike, instead of giving you a line of bulls@#t.

YOur best bet is to find a small performance shop that is willing to work on Buells... : (
