Hi! I'm posting here because I can reach the largest number for a possible answer. I've heard this on several different boards and forums about the new dealer catalog containing a pic of the new hi-performance Blast air intake - I'd love to see this pic! Does anyone here have access to posting it if it exists? I'd sure like to see the mounting they used for carb suport. Got Thump?! Just Blasting on the Dark side! |

O.K. Heres confirmation - now how about a picture folks;0) Quote" Hey, it's me sneaking online again (for only a few minutes), but I just had to post this news. I was at my Dealer today and inquired about the supposed NEW Factory Racing Blast Intake...well it's For REAL ! It was even displayed on the Blast Bikes at the Daytona Buell Display. But my dealer pulled out his newest parts/racing supplement which was mainly the same as the online catalog, BUT it had a Photo of the Blast with the NEW Exhaust AND the intake.... but no specs part# or any other info on the intake. BUT they were showing it at the Daytona Booth and it's exactly what I've been looking for. I'll describe what the picture showed : It is a Small Pod type filter on a bent down and back intake tube(which is black in color and maybe Plastic?), I did NOT see any carb brackets- BUT the pod filter was fairly small and tucked down out of the way. The filter looked a bit smaller than a Forcewinder and the element was not as long. But here now is the TRICK part...it has a (Plastic?) Shroud around maybe(?) 1/2-3/4 of the element protecting it's outer exposed side from the elements...but it then seemed to square off to an opening down and behind the cylinder like a open square. Thats all I could see from the photo...and it may also have had a mounting bracket in that shroud that bolted to the block (?). It really looked nice to my eyes, and was protected more than other open element filter setups I've seen. And it seemed(?) to be tucked in as tight as the stock airbox (meaning -no more knee interfearance than stock)..." Hey last I heard - this forum was connected - how about a pic please! Got Thump?! Just Blasting on the Dark side! EZ
