Sorry if I'm breaking protocol, first post. Test rode a 2009 1125CR this morning. Loved it. Got to ride it for about 30 minutes on back roads and a short highway run. Dealer said could make a "deal." Price seems high based on what I've read. $11,500 out the door (tax, fees, etc, included). I see dealers in other states selling for $10k or lower out the door. Is that reasonable? Thanks. |

Supply and demand my friend supply and demand. If Buells sell well in your area you can expect to pay a little higher price. Talk to Ft-Bstrd he is offering a great fly and ride deal from Bumpus Buell and HD, pm him and see what he can hook up for you. Great things have been said about him and the dealership and the owner races Buell so they are passionate about what they sell. Plus they are located in Tn so you could have a great ride back down to Georgia. Jimmy |

Well, the dealer I visited, I had to ask about buells and they were all hidden behind the building, not in the showroom or anything. I'll look up Ft-Bstrd |

I bought my CR from Fatty B and Bumpus. Great shop. Be careful about shopping OTD prices in different states due to varying taxes and registration fees. I bought an '09 demo bike with the high bar conversion installed. I got a very nice deal on it. For Tennessee, $11,500 out the door seems on the high side. I'd get in touch with Fatty B (Jeremy) and see what he can do for you. Might be worth your time to drive up. I can come by and meet you too. I'll tell you the fudgecicle story. Fatty, should that be part of the Fly and Ride deal? |

Call Ft-Bstrd aka "Jeremy" @ 615-708-8835. He is one of the best Buellers anywhere, and he sells bikes for Bumpus Buell of Murfreesboro, TN (one of the best Buell dealers anywhere) Give him a chance to earn your business. |

A good OTD price is the one you are comfortable with when you close the deal: Depends on a great many things and, most of all, what you value. For me, the dealer counts in a big way in this equation. I am not buying a commodity. I am buying something for fun and the buying experience should be fun. And even if I have issues after I have bought it, which are highly likely with any motorized vehicle you buy, the dealer is the one you must rely on for help. A good dealer will also work on the price with you to a reasonable compromise. Starting to see a pattern? Once you have decided on a brand/model, the dealer is the most important choice. I believe (no first hand experience) that Bumpus falls neatly into the category of Buell dealer "par excellance". |

Bakins, PM Sent. Beware of "out the door" pricing that isn't. Many of those don't include shipping, dealer prep, doc fees, etc. as part of the out the door price. Before we deal with ANY person local or otherwise, we disclose the entire deal. That way you KNOW the real price. There ain't that many moving parts. It ain't hard to be transparent. Give me a call Bakins. Jeremy 615-708-8835. Do you prefer Black (with high bar) or Red (with clubmans)? |

Just so you can compare I bought mine(black 09 1125cr built 10/08) 2 weeks ago in Scottsdale AZ for $10,500. I brought a cashiers check from my bank with me for the exact amount, no other surprises or add ons. On another site a guy said he took his home for $9500 and I could see it because the dealer didn't haggle with me too much on the $10.5 so I could have probably done a little better. i love the bike thou and I would have paid more for it if I wasn't able to get the deal I did. |

Someone in another thread says these guys [redacted] are running them at 7995 now to clear them out. Another location you can consider.
Thanks for your enthusiasm and eagerness to help a fellow Bueller, but please avoid advertising for non-sponsors. Thanks, Blake (Message edited by blake on October 10, 2009) |

Thanks for all the info here and in the PM's. FWIW, my other bikes never visited the dealer again after I bought them (2006 HD 883R - lots of crap done to it - and a 2007 sv650). I've done all the maintenance. Maybe I am just lucky with "glitches." But, I do see the need for a good dealer. I don't think my local dealer "likes" buells too much. |
