I have an 03 Firebolt XB9R and I have fluid that looks like primary case oil coming out of the hole in the center of my pivot shaft. It only comes out when the bike is running and then it comes out as a steady stream. Has anyone here heard of this? And does anyone know how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciate. |

The swingarm pivot shaft? I thought the swingarm pivot shaft was solid. How could oil come out of it? |

Check transmission vent tube to see if it is expelling oil? |

Thinking it may be originating somewhere and only appearing as though it is coming from the shaft, whichever one it is that you are describing. |

Nope, it's definitely coming from the swingarm pivot shaft. I don't know if it screws into an open cavity in the primary and there is a bad seal or gasket causing the leak. Anyone know? |

The swingarm oil reservoir only has openings for the filler cap, drain plug and oil line fittings. There is no connection to the swingarm pivot shaft, AFAIK. If yours has one, it's probably a crack in the reservoir or some kind of defect in the oil lines or ( someone is spoofing you). Has the bike ever been in an accident or hit the ground? |
