hello all, I have been an avid buell admirer for years now and never really had the cash to get one. So i was stuck with the old beat up bikes like an 85 Ninja 600, and a 85 honda interceptor 700. I have wanted an X-1 since they came out in 99 but the financal situation never presented itself. until just over a month ago. I got a call from a friendly dealer that i liked to frequent, to drool over the x-1's in stock, that the X-1's were on the outs and they had awesome deals on them.. Well i really wanted to get my Hands on the new White lightning. With that beautiful blue header and all white detailing.... Well they said they had only two x-1's in stock and yes, one was a X-1WL!!! i was in seventh heaven. The bike was there and the price couldn't be beat.... Now came the daunting task of convincing the wife (newly married in december, so it made it all that more difficult) to let me get this peice of engineering marval.... After much diliberation and convincing from her father (a 30 year harley veteran) that i would keep bugging her till i got it. she said yes.. It has been almost 6 weeks and 2700 miles later and i can't get enough of this bike... jsut wished Michigan had curving roads that would let me take the bike for a proper ride to show all my Crotch Rocket friends how the bike really shines.... |

Blackbelt, I go to Kettering, I'll be back at the beginning of October. Live at the corner of Linden and Beecher. Hit me up sometime, we'll go riding. Yes, roads there do suck. Try going down towards Flushing a way. There are a few, and I literally mean a few, turns. Alex |

NO KIDDING... I live in clio, i grew up in grand blanc so i know the area very well. My buddy (who rides a FZR 1000) and i ride every now and then. but he loves to try to out run me in the long streightways, i am gonna see if he (and anyone else that wants to tag along) maybe wants to run the Deals gap next season..... man you arrive in michigan just in time for the crappy weather.... we must start a buell gathering for flint.... and the surrounding area. |

I'm the new owner of a 2002 S3T. I'm 53 and have been riding only 14 years. I started on a small Yamaha 400 and worked my way to a Goldwing by way of 2 GL500i's. I've been looking at the S3T's for 4 years now. I'm not getting any younger and the price was right so................... BANG, 1 S3T in the drive way. No more Goldwing! No more GL500i! Just this awesome machine. It keeps the joints limber! |

Welcome aboard.....and, coming from a Goldwing, the first thing you'll note is that the S3 will take 10 years off your chronological age! Again...a warm welcome. Court |

Hello there, just signed in. Have a 98 S3, and I'm chomping on the bit waiting for winter to go away and wishing the roads in Iowa and Minnesota were a little bit more interesting. You can only ride the River Road so many times. Great site, helpful info - I'll have a few questions for you all later. Alex |

Hey, I've been lurking here for YEARS. This is one of my favourite sites. I've got an old Honda Rebel 250, but I don't ride much anymore. Would love to get a Buell one day, like those S3's alot, looking forward to see if Buell comes out with a little bigger bike on the firebolt concept, something that could take a passenger and a couple of hard bags. Hello all, Been lurking for a while. Posted once or twice. But, now it's official! I picked up my new XB9S Friday (4/4/03)! Had the race kit added before I even picked it up. This is a great bike, and has really exceeded all expectations. I've ridden Suzuki, and Kawasaki inline 4s for about 20 years, and must say THIS is the bike I've been waiting for! Great site ya'll have here, it's great to find such information, rather than the dribble posted on other boards (ie: "wow have ya noticed that when you drive your car you lean into a turn? I do it all the time now!" actual quote) Pic of me on my new bike in my profile (photoshop enhanced lighting) Happy Buelling! |

Hey Court, I live in New York - not there at the moment I'm an actor on tour right now, but anyhow about three or four years ago we swapped a few e-mails back and forth because I came THIS close to buying a Buell and you were very helpful with the old "How to live with a Buell in New York" advice. 'Course I think your main advice is to ride a dual-purpose bike in the potholed jungle (ha!). Anyhow, all these years I've been keeping up with the "Court column" meaning I always stop and read whatever you've got to say when you post. Again great site - one day I will be Buelling!! David |
