http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buell-Right-Side-Sc oop-RSS_W0QQitemZ290356102665QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMo torcycles_Parts_Accessories?hash=item439a928609 They retail for 16 bux... I think my previous post was removed? I don't understand why? This is not my ebay auction. I was simply pointing out the irony that people are paying above retail for this part. That is all. |

shit. I sold one on ebay for $47. Just doing the capitalistic thing that most here on the badweb seem to live by. I listed at $10 with no reserve. And it went to $47. Not my fault people don't do their homework. |

Rocket, from your post Id gather your mostly against capitalism and normally against this kind of profit margin. However you do it anyways. So youre either living a lie and like capitalism or your convictions are weak when money and incentives enter the equation. |

I have seen Xbox 360 posters (yes the paper things you put on a wall) go for $500+ on ebay from people that don't read, back during when the 360 was new and hard to get. |

this is how it went down. I posted it on ebay with no reserve, starting at $10. When it climbed past 20, then 30, then 40, I started feeling guilty. Like I was taking advantage of some one. Then I asked myself"WWJD?" Which, for me stands for "what would Johnnymceldoo do?" So knowing you have no morals and see no problem with selling something for more than 3 times what it costs to produce (cost me $15 and sold for $47 and some change) I figured, what the hell!! Let it ride. Do what corporate America does!!!! It's people like you that constantly post loads of political garbage and have the balls to question others morals and ideals that make this place such a frickin' drag to visit anymore. Try going out and enjoying what time you have here on Earth rather than spend your time scouring post where you can interject your stupid comments and questions. Have a nice life. Im not buying it. You could have posted it with a "buy it now" fixed price. You mull over making $20-30 on an item but no doubt support lawmakers who would give us a value added tax or impose more taxes on fuel and electricity for our cars and homes. Oswald was sick of American capitalism too so he moved to Russia. He wasnt happy there so he moved back. Maybe you could try moving to Venezuela or Cuba perhaps? |

Ebay is entirely an "at your own risk" situation. If someone wants the part, or whatever, and are willing to pay a higher price just to avoid the wait, let 'em! If someone wants to go on there and jack up bids, it is NOT the sellers fault. I'm not gonna bug Rocketsprink about it. Times are tough right now, and if someone has the money to throw at a sale like that, LET 'EM! I would not feel guilty either. If I was bidding on it, I would have stopped at cost, and that's MY decision. If the next person want's to pay more, let 'em! |

+1 Gunut I've seen Spy cables sell for $80 on here as well as Ebay. I paid about $20 for the parts plus shipping and built my own. If you can do something someone else can't, mark it up and people buy it...have at it. Sell on Rocket... |

My buddy buys cds from the discount bin in Canadian WalMarts and ebays them to US buyers. Best deal was $CDN3 became $US80, go figure. He usually gets around $US25 per cd. He's in Cancun this weekend. It's an auction, that's how it works. Congrats on making an honest profit. Nobody was taken advantage off, cool. |

I was looking for new forks a few weeks ago, and one guy was parting out a 03 9R. He had all kinds of crap listed for more than new cost, including a VR and right side controls. |

Picked up and installed a new RSS scoop on Jezebel today...got it from my local dealer...the two halves plus tax cost 54.47 I like my dealer a lot...I called the parts department last week...they didn't have the parts in stock...I asked them to order them....they did...and called me yesterday when they came in...and didn't make me pay in advance for the parts...THAT is good service...so while I was there picking up the parts, I bought a tail bag too ... |
