If there is one thing in life I am sure about...... That has to be one of the most disturbing things I have ever seen There is a license plate cover out on the market that redirects lazers from cops so that they can't get a reading on you. It also has a vison block so that you cant read it from an angle, only straight on. Its pretty cool! |

Hey guys, Anyone know of any bikes for sale around town? I'm looking for something along the lines of a ZX6R, ZX9R, etc. in decent shape for around $3k. No, I'm not selling the S2, I just don't want to risk trashing my baby while riding to and from work. I have a line on a ZX7R for 3 grand in Dallas, but it's always good to have options On another note, a friend of mine just bought a Blast and I'm in the process of teaching him to ride it. Hopefully he'll be confident enough to go riding with the rest of the Woodlands people in a few weeks. Speaking of that, do we HAVE to leave at the crack of bloody dawn?!? I'm NOT a morning person. I work at a bar. I might as well start wearing black and drinking blood And I need to go find a battery. Mine went tits up and we had to jump her to go for a ride, which sucked with both hands. Since I have pneumonia right now push starting was out of the question Hmm... "you know you're a biker when pneumonia doesn't keep you off the bike..." |

That's a great bike Court, but sort of hard to come by these days. It was way ahead of its time, Honda didn't sell many, and they only made it for a few years. |

3 years. Trick is to look. I have everything ever written about them, including all the manuals. You are welcome to check them out of the "Court-brary" if you ever want to take a look. They are all over Manhattan. Trick is to find a STOCK one that's not been coverted to a club racer. Court |

Court, Actually I want a race bike, then I want to put the bare minimum amount of stuff on it to make it street legal This ZX7R I'm thinking about is currently wearing race glass with no lights, mirrors, signals, etc. Fortunately the owner kept all the street bodywork, lights, etc. I'll probably hide the signals, put those tiny bar end mirrors on, and mold a couple of small holes into the race upper for a pair of projection beams. I have one little problem with Honda right now. They screwed Collin Edwards over. He lives about 20 minutes from me. Gotta support the locals |

Oh yeah, forgot to mention it, but someone has their Carbon Kevlar Edition X1 up at Texan. Saw it yesterday outside the service door. Damn nice looking bike, especially the pegasus inlaid into the flyscreen in contrasting carbon or kevlar or whatever that is. There was also a Millenium X1 sitting with the employees' bikes. I was actually up there to sit on a ZX7R and see how I like it, but I won't admit to that in person |

Does anyone (Court) know if Harley grips listed for 96 and up will fit a 95 S2? I found a set of pimpy flamed chrome grips at Texan that look a bit less painful than the Arlen Ness grips I have, but they say 96 and up. I'm not sure if it'll work since most of my bike fixin' has been on Ninjas, but I'm sure someone (Court) around here might know. |

Duag, We usually ride early sunday mornings and leave out of the woodlands. Either ride through Sam Houston state park or we shoot over to bellville and hit a few twisties out there. You have any good riding out by you? We may come that way. |

White95, We started riding early last year because in the summer its so friggin hot, plus alot of the guys have family junk they have to do on Sunday. The reason I like leaving early is the traffic or lack there of. The last few times I went, we left town between 8 & 9 which ain't quite as bad. I got another bud that won't go for that reason also. I will try to put together a lunch ride out to Round Top pretty soon. (YOU READIN THIS ROADTHING?) that should have us leaving the Woodlands at about 10 am. |

Rob, the friend of mine that just bought a Blast, is getting more competent. I figure another couple of weeks of riding around the Woodlands, 242, etc. should have him comfortable enough to go play. Anyone want to go for a ride on, say, the 20th? I don't want to push Rob too hard since he's never ridden a bike before yesterday, but we could always break off and head back early. Then there's the TSBA guys. They meet on the far side of creation, but it might be fun to meet up with them around 290 and 1488 sometime. Speaking of that, anyone interested in the TSBA, e-mail me. Our monthly meeting is Saturday and we're going to try and gather at my place on the 19th to mess with the bikes, eat dead cows, etc. If the stars align right I'll have my ZX7R down here by then. If not, I need to do my 7500 mile service anyway. Hmm... beer + tools + Buell... this could be either very good or very bad |

>>>Does anyone (Court) know if Harley grips listed for 96 and up will fit a 95 S2? Yes. Any 1" diameter grip will fit. Actually so will the spare tire off a Volvo 1800S wagon, it just had a lot more slop. Court |

Steve, yeah, I'm reading! Word to the wise, avoid Round Top this weekend, it's the big antique festival and it's wall-to-wall traffic for miles. r-t |

Court, Cool, thanks. I'm gonna head up to the shop shortly and grab a pair. These are what I'm wanting: http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=512541&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=5813311&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=5813311&bmUID=1049396438503 Birdsong, I'll be riding with the TSBA guys. If anyone else wants to ride with us you're more than welcome. My wife will be driving and carrying stuff for anyone that needs it, so let me know if you need something pack muled up there. I think I remember seeing it. Rob was wanting an M2, so it caught his attention, but he stuck with the Blast plan so he could learn on something a little less insane than a tube framed twin |

Court, Guess what. 96+ grips won't fit. Not even close. The way the 96 grips fit in the switchgear housings won't work with the S2 housings. Oh well, I'll just have to get some less cool ones |
