At least it will clear the ground in a right turn! (the D&D will not) |

Slaughter have you drug the D&D on the track? I haven't, just curious. |

Higbee had a D&D and just holding it up against the bike, it was obvious that it'd ground first before the peg or boot toe so it didn't go on the bike. Eric Pinson had one put on their MotoGT1 bike and after the first time grounding and lifting the rear (major slide and a near high-side that threw his but out of the seat) - they ditched it even though it meant losing D&D sponsorship money. Even with all the feedback, D&D didn't change the design - they're more geared toward drag racing. Not a bad pipe, it is just that the exit puts it almost 2 inches outside the right footpeg... and you CAN drag the right peg without breaking the rear end loose (found that out in the Inside Pass demo days in 2008) I touch my toe sliders every once in a while but again, I am on an XB with a different exhaust. I just like the idea that if anything contacts the pavement, it's the peg or my toes or knee. |

This is what I did. i took the D&D muffler that was ruined. cut it right after the step up after the bend and hacked it off. Then i took the cap and baffle out(i had to cut this pipe apart to get it out) thankfully the baffle was not bent. back to the muffler inlet. i Cut a 3.5" circle piece with a 2" whole centered in it. it looked like a stainless steel donut. next i measured the baffle to the end cap. i then took a 3.5" piece of muffler tubing. and welded the pieces up. i slid the baffle in the tube. (after i modified the end cap to add a little lenght to it) i bolted the end cap and viola. it sounds simple. wait it was,... hehehe Then i bought stock in earplugs. CAUSE THIS BEAST IS LOUD... |

It is a really clean installation but I'd imagine that the exhaust note might be just a wee tad loud. |

"At least it will clear the ground in a right turn! (the D&D will not)" That is very correct! haha thats how lovedabueller came about the pipe. I found out I couldnt take a tight inside line in turn 6 at Blackhawk Farms the hard way...I ended up totally trashing the right side of my bike because of the D&D. } Keith-Glad to see it worked out for you! It looks pretty good on the bike. |

Keith , nice job ,it looks real clean. Now you just need to make it back down to Austin for a comparison to a D&D. That thing looks like it's coming along nicely, wished I had the cash to have gotten it but I'm just glad it found a good home. |

Anyone thought about putting a Megs megaphone on an 1125? Like a Force exhaust? I'd love that . |
