Anyone put 1125 gauge's on a XB? I've been wanting to do this for a while but I don't want to spend $280 on the new gauge's just to find out they wont work |

the 1125 has a much higher tach range than the XB's.. i dont think it will work at all |

i understand that there would be a few unused numbers in the tach range, i like the look of the 1125 gauges better and was wanting to put a GPS next to it on the fairing bracket since it is so much smaller than the XB gauges...thanks Ochoa, that's what im kinda figuring out. the XB cluster has wires for the neutral, tach in, and VSS and the 1125 has wires for CAN high and low instead |

Not sure if it will just bolt right on or not, both the 08+ XB and 1125 are similar with their electrics, so it might be possible. I haven't had any apart enough to know for sure. I know the 08 XB has a different gauge cluster than previous years. |

i think both gauges use the same connector. these are the wires and numbers in the connector for: XB: 2-Battery 3-Neutral 4-left turn 5-right turn 6-high beam 7-check engine 8-oil pressure 12-ignition 13-ground 14-tach in 15-low fuel 16-VSS 1125: 1-left turn drive 2-constant battery 3-chassis ground 4-left turn input 5-right turn input 6-high beam input 8-oil pressure 9-CAN high 10-CAN low 11-right turn drive 12-constant battery 13-chassis ground 14-ignition switch 15-low fuel lamp obviously there are differences but i have no idea what CAN low and high are and if that's how the neutral light, check engine light, tachometer, and vehicle speed sensor hook up then i don't think it will work |

CAN might be a data buss and should be a balanced signal (+ and - polarity). It's serial data. |

Yep, it's CAN bus... you can enable it in the ECM of an XB (at least you can in BUE2D). The CAN connector is super simple... 3 wires and it's done. |
