Hey guys, I'm sure its been posted on here somewhere before but I am looking to redo the tank decals on my 2000 M2 and was wondering if you all knew a good way to remove the old ones and get all the gummy glue off as well. Thanks, bponejolic |

Try a hair dryer first to heat the block lettering, it will probably peel right off once it's warmed up. Be gentle and they should come off without too much drama. New lettering can be purchased from the dealership, they are self adhesive. The letters on my 2000 began removing themselves and I used contact cement to put them back on, they came off later pretty easily too. |

New ones are only like $15 a set, and they make them to order pretty much. I bought some a few months ago, and the date on them was like three days before my order. Make sure to clean the area good to get rid of any residue from the old ones before applying the new ones. |

I used "goo gone" to remove sticker adhesive and it didn't affect my paint adversely. |

Use dental floss, really! Works like a champ, then cleanup the residue with a solvent. |

3M sells an adhesive remove in a spray can. It won't hurt your paint. I got mine at an automotive store. I like the dental floss idea. Follow that up with the 3M adhesive remover. After that clean with Alcohol |

I removed mine using unwaxed dental floss soaked in Goo Gone to "saw" the adhesive between the tank and the logo. Worked great and didn't hurt the paint at all. No my idea. I got from someone here a couple of years ago. Try it. You'll be amazed at how easily it works. |
