As I look down my 09 1125R's throat, on the right side is a sensor. How detrimental can a dragonfly be to that thing? Tweezers and an alcohol swab? It seems to be running alright? |

Its just a intake air temp sensor. Not that detrimental. Just clean off the bug. |

Must have been a Japanese dragonfly, kamikazed right in there, head first. Chevycummins Thanks. Like the pipe mod on your bike. |

Speaking of IAT sensors, my dash always says the ambient temp is about 10 degrees warmer than it really is. Is this common or do I have a bad sensor. The display on my Goldwing is always right on. |

From what I've heard, that's because of the position of the ambient air temp sensor on the '08 models. |

Did they move it on the 09? If it reads hot, it may affect A/F ratio, thinking the air is hotter than it is, causing it to be lean. |

Seems to me it's pretty close for IAT but a bit off for "ambient". It gets closer to ambient as the weather cools. Down below 40 F it seems pretty accurate. There is a lot of thermal mass there that influences the temperature. Zack |
