Sorry ray, NOT. Sunday sunny ya say, that would mean we will be reroofing the dormer room and taking the chimney down. Swing by and do a stoppy or wheelie or just rev the pipe. Then you all can see a grown man and women cry cuz we'll be workn instead of riding. Life can suck when your a home owner. Deb

So Galen does that mean that she doesn't turn staleft? She only turns staright - do you get dizzy fast? Hee-hee

I'm a motorcycle widow - that's what my grammy calls it when Mike goes out of town and leaves me, but this time it was my kids fault! Mike and Cody are up in Canada and Cody will be riding tomorrow. He is so pumped. Hey Deb he wanted to know how far away it was, Mike told him 5-6 hours and he said if he can do 10 hrs he can handle 5-6. Bet your glad you are not along for this car ride!

BRING HOME A TROPHY CODE! Cody & his bike

The weather was pretty good today. Did anybody go anywhere worth BRAGing about?

Lyle and I got up to Snoqualmie Falls. I suppose it's still falling but we didn't stop to see. I'm guessing our friend Prof. Stack would have had his camera and brought back a half dozen good snaps. Where are ya when we need ya Norm?

Ray, I wish I could tell you a good riding story! The weather was great this weekend! I wanted to take this cast off so bad and just hope on the Suz and ride. But you all just keep the stories coming I like to hear them. Next weekend is the Rose City Oregon 250. Anyone going? Deb, Bob, Mike, Kim??? I was thinking that if the weather is nice I would go see everyone in the morning before they leave.

Deb I know what you mean about being a home owner! Got out and did a little yard work today YUK! Yesterday we helped our daughter and son-in-law move into there new home. So how are things coming along for you? I have to get up there and see your place.

Kim have you heard anything from Code? I am excited to hear about his racing! :) Chris is still playing the role of nurse here. He helped me change the dressing under my cast for the first time today.

Well I have to say it was great meeting your little guy Kim!
I took Eva out to Willowbrook Mall today to see Cody in action. Unfortunately the crappy weather made things difficult, the little bike had some water intake problems and it was a tough go.
Oh Cody is the sweetest guy! His big eyes looking out of that helmet showed disappointment but he's a good spirit and didn't let it get him down.
Too bad we couldn't have stayed longer... had to get the vehicle home so Don could go to work. When I was saying goodbye Cody asked me why we were leaving. Awww... I can imagine what that does to you Kimberlie, when you have to go out!
So anyhow, I never got to see the race and don't know how things turned out.
Took a few soggy photos but since I'm not digitalized, have to wait and use up the film!
Hoping to see Cody race again soon!

Ride on...
Lorraine and Eva

PS. Seeing Cody's riding spirit certainly perked up my weekend. Go little buddy!

Cody is thrilled to have gotten his 4th place trophy. We survived the rain. See Canadian post. Lo I kid you not when I stopped for gas back in the states just for fun I reached into the back of the truck to start Cody's bike pulled the start cord and I'll be darned the thing started on the first pull. All I could do was smile turn the beast off take two deep breaths and say relax, calm. Thankyou again for the support and I'm sure we will be back again soon. Cody also thought it was very cool to have a international road race licence and wanted to know if he could drive now in your country. Can you say booster seat. Help us all. Mike

Oh Mike, how annoying huh? :)
It was great seeing you and meeting your son. Glad he got 4th Woo Hoo! Too bad Eva and I weren't there to cheer him on a bit longer. Let us know when you'll be back and we'll make sure to be there if we can!
And tell Cody that he probably drives better than many that live here LOL. :D
Does a motorcyclist's heart good to see such young enthusiasm.

Ride on!
Lo.

Hey, to all. I got a little of what I need this weekend. A bit of quality time with BOB and Deb, but not enough. Put my boy Theryn (9) on the back and went out to Vashon Island on Sunday. Weather was great and so was the company! We saw a cool 750 Laverdia. Can you say 'Microsoft'? Went to a couple pals grave's to say Hi and saw a tree frog.
Loni, I can so relate to your frustration. I broke my left 5th. meta carpal (hand bone) at the begining of spring one year. Back when my bike was my only trans. and it was a tankariffic Yama 650. I'd use my right hand to pull the clutch in, and then my left hand could hold it 'till I could let it out, then didn't need it 'till I had to start from a stop once more. Ah yes....

Right on to Code Red! Way to go there little brother!!

Buell Announces BattleTrax National Championship Series

From a press release issued by Buell Motorcycle Company:

Buell Motorcycles Hosts 2003 Buell National BattleTrax Series

Series includes a 10-city tour with riders competing for a national championship

EAST TROY, Wis. - Buell Motorcycle Company invites riders to participate in the 2003 Buell National BattleTrax Series, a free motorcycle event that challenges riders to compete in a controlled environment and rewards skill and consistency. The National BattleTrax Series, which kicked off March 8 during Daytona Bike Week, showcases Buell’s latest award-winning motorcycles - the Lightning XB9S and Firebolt XB9R.

"Buell motorcycles have always emphasized the importance of mass centralization and frame rigidity, and low unsprung weight, which gives riders improved handling and agility," says Erik Buell, chairman and chief technical officer. "BattleTrax is a great way to showcase these performance attributes, which provide benefits in any type of riding."

BattleTrax is a closed-course motorcycle event involving a well-marked, circuitous route on a paved surface. The event is designed for all experience levels, giving every rider an opportunity to test their skills. Riders travel the course - one at a time - as efficiently as they can. An electronic timer monitors each rider’s performance. The course, laced with twists and turns, is guaranteed to test riders’ skills and produce ear-to-ear grins.

The winner of each regional event - determined by a timed bracket-style format - will receive a trip to Las Vegas to compete for the national championship on July 16, 2003. Buell Motorcycle Company will provide each winner with round trip airfare to Las Vegas and two nights’ hotel accommodation, along with a special Buell prize. The national champion will receive the Buell National BattleTrax Series Championship trophy and bragging rights for a lifetime.

Scott Berry of Arlington, Mass., was crowned the winner of the first regional event at Daytona. “I was really looking forward to the BattleTrax event at Daytona,” said Berry. “I liked the bracket format. I was counting the time down in my head and trying to be smooth on the course. I am pumped to go to Vegas for the finale.”

The 10-event national series continues this spring and summer giving riders the chance to test their motorcycles and themselves.

“BattleTrax is a fun skills course intended for riders of all experience levels,” says Paul James, communications manager. “Riders set their own bracket time, and ride within their own limits to match it, which makes for an even playing field and rewards smoothness and consistency.”

Participants need to bring their motorcycle, full-face helmet, appropriate riding gear and a valid motorcycle driver’s license. Riders must be at least 21 years of age to participate. See the following schedule or visit www.battletrax.com for a complete list of Buell National BattleTrax cities and event details.
