Hi, First, sorry about my bad english. Iīm from Finland and i bought my -08 1125R few months ago. Itīs a great bike, but it needs some modifications. I have changed the pegs to XB-R ones, which made it a bit better. I like to change the original handlebars to dirt bike handlebars as well as remove the original headlights with fairings and replace them with something like XB12S have, but self made. The muffler needs a "bug spoiler" to cover the front "bulb". The end tips of the muffler are also on the list of the modifications. I donīt like how those pipes points to the rear brake, so iīm going to cut them off and weld something more aggressive tip on the muffler, which points out on the bikes center line. So, if anybody of you, who are reading this have a spare upper triple clamp, iīm interested to buy it. If you are interested to see some pics of my "project", let me know. Thanks, Blower1 |

I know, but the CR was about 5000$ more expensive here in Finland than a new -08 1125R. |

Well Fresno, we Fins don't do anything the easy way. Blower1, you may want to contact "Teach". He works at Western Reserve HD Buell over here in Ohio. They have a high bar set up for the 1125r. It's not like a dirt bike bar, but it is higher. I'm sure he can get you some pics, as he has the set up on his personal bike. |

Thanks Badlionsfan, but a high bar set up is not what i want (itīs too easy way for the stubborn Fin). |

No problem. Post pics when you get going on this, I'd like to see what you come up with for the exhaust. |

The muffler end tip(s) modification is done. I cut off the originals and made the new from 1mm stainless steel. Donīt know if it looks better, but it does not point to the rear brake disc.

Damn, that looks pretty good to me! If I decide not to go with an aftermarket exhaust system, I may have to see if I can find a shop to make something like that up. |
