Just keeping everyone up to date: Motorcycle Superstore just informed me that Pit Bull is making a stand specifically for the Buell 1125R and it should be on their web site in the next day or two. |

UM....YEA.....OVER 6 MONTHS AGO!!!! Hmmmm...More like a year or more! :-) I have had mine since a birthday gift in early December, and I know they were out this time last year since that's when I made my list!! Either way, good to know they are selling them on MS. I like to give them money... |

American Sportbike has been selling them for a long time. Got mine from there last October or November, if I remember correctly. |

Or for 1/2 the price go with the T-Rex. I think my front and rear pair, delivered, was under $120.00. |

Perhaps some of you (like me) with a conventional stand would like to use it on your 1125R. I picked up a steel rod, cut it to acceptable length, tapered the ends and slide it through the rear wheel axle. A conventional stand will then pick up the ends and prop it up (the rear end will sit a little low) |

T-Rex has some neat stickers too ;+} The T-Rex has bigger teeth than the Pitbull anyway. Does that steel rod make rear wheel removal a challenge? |

I bought a pair of Handy stands a long time ago for $99 for the pair. Surprisingly, they work very well. I have nice Pit Bull stands, but sometimes, I go back to the Handy stands because they are so cheap, I can bend them slightly to widen the rear stand. That's how I made it fit my 1125. |

I did t-rex. Had to bend the arms out just a hair to keep from hitting the swingarm but they work great now. |

I kind of like to make my own stands. Not sexy and pretty but highly functional. I have had the rear for a while and just made a front to change tires in the spring. Rear will go on jack stand under the rear foot pegs that I will re-install when needed. Mine are not very universal, though somewhat so with small changes like the neck pin in the front. Very small cost as I use inexpensive rigid conduit which is plenty strong enough. Come-a-long for the front I had from the construction days. A longer top tube would work but limit space. Bob

Bicycle man, Yes, Pit Bull has a new stand out that works with the 09/10 spools on the swingarm. It is wider than their "standard/spool" stand. I haven't tried the new one, but the standard rear stand is not quite wide enough - I did get my bike up on it, but it scraped the finish off, all the way down to the aluminum,... I only did that *once* 08's didn't have spools so they made a setup that worked by holding on to the back of the swingarm - that setup works with any Buell, including the very tall Ulysses. The Pit Bull NewFront frontstand works on the 1125R using the #3 pin. -Ron |
