i have tried to find info on the auxiliary power location for the 1125R with out success. any one know where it is and if it pre-fused? i am trying to install a radar detector and don't want to splice power and ground if i dont have to. any info will be greatly appreciated. thanks. | ||

There's a plug under the seat and one up front on the R, not sure about the CR though. | ||

The only accy plug is under the headlight. It is gray and looks like this:  The female plug on the bike has a blank male plug inserted into it. If you can find the pins etc, you can use that male plug. Much easier is just to purchase the Uly cigarette lighter socket that has the male plug you need. Here is the p/n Y0198.1AK . That circuit is fused and ignition switch controlled. It is also controlled by the computer. If the battery voltage drops below a certain point it will cut off the accy. to conserve the battery. IIRC it is fused at 15 amps but I would have to check the SM wiring diagram to be sure. Later Neil S. | ||

thank you very much. i saw that plug when i installed my HID's, now i know what it is for. i will check to see what pins it uses, i have three different wiring repair kits with some several hundred pig tails. | ||

So, what is the 2 pin plug tucked under the passenger seat that is connected directly to the battery then? | ||

Don't know. What does it look like? Is it really connected directly to the battery? Is it fused in-line? Could it be a battery tender pig-tail that your dealer installed? Pictures would tell us a whole lot. | ||

D - That sounds exactly like a battery tender pigtail. That plug is also fused and you can buy things like heated gear that can plug into it as well, but your dealer likely installed that to work with a battery tender. | ||

Well, it's at the dealer again for repairs at the moment for the rear caliper/rotor/master cylinder replacement, so I can't get a pic of it, but I think it was fused, so it might be the battery tender option. | ||

Do you have to pull the seat to get to it? Sounds like the tender lead, but run it so it's easily accessible. Mine hangs behind the rear brake m/c.  Z | ||

Mine doesn't have a battery tender lead that I can see. Must have been a dealer add on. I've seen dealers put them on before. I added a Powerlet "BMW style" plug to my CR for my heated vest and I also use it for my tender. | ||

My tender lead pokes out the whole in the rear plastics just under the rider's seat on the left. Very convenient. I have made adapters for it to power accessories in the past. ac | ||

Hmm...I have found them at swap meets in the past. The lead comes with the tender and then I just used the matching connectors to make power wires for GPS, cell phone, cigarette lighter, etc. ac | ||

All Deltran Battery Tenders (and others) connect via SAE connectors. | ||

Jim: For the accy harness male get the P/N above. For battery tender Cyclegear etc has the pig tails. When hooking up aux goodies, please use a little common sense. 1) Use an ignition controlled hot wire. 2) Have your hot wire fused. 3) Watch your current draw. 4) Relays are your friend (if you need help let me know).
