I thought it might be kind of fun to have a little 1125 meetup in Arkansas Oct 24/25. The basic plan is ride all day Saturday (400 or so miles of the best twisties you can imagine), and then Sunday morning. Hotel on Friday and Saturday nights. I know there's a handful of D/FW riders, and Blake is in East Texas, so perhaps there's some interest? I generally trailer up on Friday night after work and come home Sunday afternoon. Base somewhere along I-40 in the western half of the state. I'm usually the only Buell I see up there! | ||

I made the trip in June and had a blast. I rode my new 1125 over 1400 miles in 4 days. Its some great riding in that area. | ||

I don't see a reason to keep it purely 1125... ride what you got, Buell or not. I'll probably have a friend or two come along as well on non-Buells. One in particular has a KTM 690. Top speed? 85. $10 says no one here can keep him in sight on 23. | ||

I will be riding down there and basing out of Jasper ARK Oct 23-25th. I will be riding my Uly with a group of Triumph Tiger riders. We will be doing several loops East & South from Jasper HWY 7. | ||

I'll be in the Ozarks in the next couple weeks... Not bringing the bike though :-( curious to see how nice the scenic 7 really is! depending on how everything goes I might join you guys. 7 isn't that great of a road. Don't get me wrong, the scenery is great, but it has a LOT of traffic, a lot of cruisers, and a LOT of cops. All make for a rather miserable ride on any kind of decent motorcycle. | ||

hey i live in the ozarks. i'd be down to ride with yall anytime. oh and if you're going up 7 i'd suggest taking a detour up 123 and taking either 374 back to 7 or 74 back to jasper. | ||

Daarc, I come up to AR at least once a month, but generally every 3 weeks or so. I know those routes very well, and 123 and Push are roads we won't miss. I'll post up details after this weekend. Probably base in Clarksville -- easy to get to in the trailer, cheap/good hotel, and right next to the twisties. | ||

took my then new CR up there in May for a three day weekend. a bunch of us go up every year and it started out as a M109R Suzi club meet but open to all bikes. I still have the 109 but the Buell was awsome on those roads. One road I always go up on and come back on is the "Pig Trail". weather can be iffy in May but we outran the T-storms 3 years in a row. |
