His last post said that his riding was done for the year, had to get both knees replaced. I don't recall when or if he said he was having it done. Maybe he's getting in all the riding he can before he goes cripple for a while. Probably trying to get to 130K before he puts it up for the winter. | ||

I didn't know about the knee replacements, hope everything goes well for him. | ||

Come to think of it, at the last club ride, he had mentioned that he was going to get his knees rebuilt...I'll try calling him this weekend to see how he is doing. | ||

BUELLers: "THANKS" for you'lls concern ... Reason for replacements: Both knee's were beat out from racing in my youth ... The left knee was the worst with the right knee no to far behind ... Was getting bow legged and hard to walk ... It is bad when it is hard to walk out to your motorcycle, plus hard to get on it ... This is what happened so far: Friday 11 Sept had left knee replacement done ... Released form the hospital on Sunday 13 Sept ... Started feeling bad on wednesday 16 Sept and went to Doctor on Friday 18 Sept who put me in the Hospital for Pneumonia ... Released from hospital on Sunday 20 Sept ... The Home Care Physical Therapy Nurse picked up o the Pneumonia symptoms quick and now in Out Patient Physical Therapy since Wednesday 23 Sept ... Feeling better now, "BUT" the knee sure "HURTS" Soon as the Left knee heals to where "i" can get s round with it, the right knee gets done ... Will not be posting much of anything until "i" start having less "PAIN" ... In BUELLing LaFayette | ||

I just got off the phone with LaFayette. He's a bit sore, but doing pretty well. He'll be back in the saddle before long. | ||

BUELLers: Just wanted to let you'll know !!! Took my FIRST RIDE today after having both knees's replaced ... Took a short ride of 10.4 miles and it sure felt good to be back in the saddle again ... After setting from the 10th of SEPTEMBER 2009 my BUELL cranked right up ... All "i" did was turn the gas off and run the engine draining the float bowl ... Kept the BATTERY on my BATTERY PLUS CHARGER while it sat waiting for me ... Checked the OIL after the ride and it was right where it was supposed to be on the dip stick which proved the CRANK SHAFT OIL SEAL is still good ... In BUELLing LaFayette |
