Well at least I'll be there to send y'all off. Busy last week, today's my Saturday. Time to get dressed and go out to the garage and wet-sand on Loretta. She'll be all shiny again. If this doesn't work I'm going to let Brad at B&E in Brighton shoot her with a black flake/pearl urethane some time next year. Zack |

The bikes are actually 2008's John. And what Dan was thinking about doing, maybe, was just do a modification to the engine to increase the power a little bit. Actually, I think this bike will last me a long time as it works really well going up hill, it has plenty of power for me. The problem with a bigger bike is, they are really tall. |

Zac, I am sure you will have her looking great in no time. I need to work the logistics of getting up there on Saturday. As you may know my bike is already there. I am glad you will be there, I will bring a parts list. I took the frame to S2 number 304 to the powder coaters and the oil bag and wheels are at the polisher. The motor will be from my S1W. I am unemployed at the moment I seem to be spending a lot of money. |

I'm still trying to get my Uly back together after about 3 days of fixing/upgrading. The list of things being done includes fixing an intermittent wire issue, new intake seals, new spark plugs, new spark plug wires, reinstall of aux lights to include a new wiring strategy, reinstalling of Protaper Raptor handlebars, new clutch cable, new throttle cables, new front isolator, complete fork service to include Moose Racing fork skins, rerouting crank case breather, reinstalling open airbox kit, reinstalling Drummer exhaust, installing new comfort kit, and fresh TPS reset! Anyway...I am about 3-4 hours from being ready to test ride it to verify everything works OK. I plan to take Friday off from work to get everything done...and assuming that all goes well, I will be able meet everyone up at HCHD Saturday morning! And once again assuming that I am able to finish up all my work...I can plan a route if needed. I have kind of lost track of all that plan to attend, so Frank...let me know if you want me to plan a route, and how long it should be. |

Steve, if you don't mind coming up with something as far as a route that would be great. I was trying to think of the way to Deckers but have no idea how to get there from that far North. Looks like Firebolywillie, Cpilot, myself and whoever else shows up. I will try to be there at before 10am so I can get the bike and I need to order a few parts. |

Julie, sounds like you have a nice bike and a bit more power will never hurt. Your right, bigger engine means taller bike and harder to reach the ground. that is the only problem that I am having to adjust to on my WR426. Very tall and I am on by toes to reach the ground on flat ground, so I have to try and plan when i stop on a off camber hill to that I do not fall. Other than that, a great bike.

I think Maximum went out of his way to find that construction LOL.. Will, Steve and Troy, it was a great day to be on the bikes. Troy, thanks for the grub and having us over. I finally made it home and it is only about 80 miles from Troy's house to mine. Will, I went the wrong way leaving and that is why I was going to same way as you. I am glad I found 83. Frank |

Good to see all of you, wish I could have gone. Would have been a lot more fun than the day I DID have... Lynn - thank you for the St Christopher. Too big for my little neck chain, it wound up on my wallet chain. Gonna go rub on Loretta then hit the sack. Later Z |

BTW: Fireboltwillie, I think I heard your exhaust popping somewhat, maybe on decel. That is usually an indication of an exhaust leak. Frank |

Frank, the decel popping is a lean condition. Since I just finished up my upgrades/repairs at 11 pm on Friday, I did not have time to give my Uly a test ride...so our Saturday ride was my 230 mile test ride. I also had some decel popping going on since I had just reinstalled my drummer and race ecm...so I need to use ECM Spy to fatten up the bottom two rows a little. Great ride though...I'm glad I was able to get my bike done and join you guys...even with the construction zones on the Peak to Peak highway! |

LOL John. I need (or should I say want) to go FASTER. More track days in the future. It was, indeed, a great day riding with you guys. Dan, again, is attempting to show me how to do pics (our other computer died) so here it goes. I am not computer sauvy. From L-R: Greg, Mike, John and Dan at the top of Devils Head Lookout. While up there a 1125R rode by then came back to see all the Buells and it was Ryan, so he rode with us.
John, Mike, me and Dan
Down in Deckers Ryan, John and Dan (?the guy in the white T-shirt)
We had an absolutely beautiful day. Must do it again (and again and again) (Message edited by jumpinjewels on September 27, 2009) (Message edited by jumpinjewels on September 27, 2009) |

Great pics and looks like a good time Julie. Much better than sitting in the garage working on the newest build finding problems at every step. I got the Uly back on Saturday before the ride but it was the only day I could ride. I start back to work tomorrow in my new job (same as last one as a civil servant). Sucks. |

Good meeting some of you folks too. Hey, since some of you were asking about Deal's Gap. Anyone think they could outrun this guy? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nrMQ3QwyPo |

I'm back from soggy Tennessee! I see the hills here got a little dusting of snow. Time to think of what gear I need to get out for those colder winter days. Looks like there was much Buell fun in Colorado this past weekend. |

Glad to see so many CO Buell riders on here. I've been lurking around here a little researching, just found this section. I just bought a 2006 Uly Friday night, got the title transferred and licensed it today, cant wait to put some miles on it! |

Just a thought....Dan and I are thinking of having a get together on Christmas Day for eats and fellowship. If this is something that you all out there might be interested in let us know. We don't really have an extended family out here and would love to have some Bueller friends and family join us. |

Julie, I usually get together with friends on Christmas but if that does not happen, I would love to join you. Did Dan get the fuel pump installed? I put a new chain and front sprocket on the WR today. Also new DOT Dualsport tires. Just getting it ready to be made street legal and if I can pickup some 17 inch street wheels for it, may become a supermoto part of the time too. |

Oh yeah!! Dan is actually out in the garage right now. He's already changed out the fuel pump. I got some pics so will post them later. He had to do some slight modifications but he said it wasn't too bad. It took him about 1 1/2-2 hours. He's also changing his rear tire. He's not sure if he'll change out the front quite yet We are hoping to go to Rampart tomorrow and get dirty. Dan put his hand guards on yesterday, so we should be good to go. |
