So amongst the mounds of items(shirts, magazines, parts, etc.) the PO of my bike gave me was a copy of ecmspy(It was an unlabeled cd, he said it was a program he used for TPS resets, so I loaded it up and checked it out). I know this is no longer available, but is there a way to upgrade my version? The cd has version 1.12.1(the installer says 1.12.x but once loaded it says 1.12.1) According to some searches here the newest version was 1.12.26(I think), am I stuck with 1.12.1? Also, I read some old posts about people using it on their Palm, is that a seperate program(in which case I'm SOL) or can I get my version to work? |

I can't speak about the Palm version since I've never used it but I really could not tell the difference between the older and the newer versions. May be there are some very subtle differences for real experts but for all practical purposes they are the same. Hope this helped. |

American Sport Bike used to sell a diagnostic tool (not ECMSpy) that was available for a Palm or a PC. I just did a quick search on that site but couldn't find it. I think he sold the program for around $120 with a choice of platforms. |
