Is it me or is there alot of complaints about the 1125R? there are people that would find something to complain about even if you hung them with a new rope! |

Some people would complain about getting a million dollars for free because they had to pay the taxes on it. |

The sight glass for the fluid - is that really functional? - do I need to add food coloring to the coolant? I checked fluids before the a ride - could see nothing, took cover off and and it was like 3 ounces down on cold full, brought to line. Dip stick for the oil was at the add line, brought to full. Only 300 miles on it, I'm asking myself did it come from the dealer like that? Is the dealer sending them out full, and break in consuming that? Nothing alarming, no harm no foul, but you think the fluids would be topped off new. so it has me asking did anyone elses bike experience that? Oh - I really like my CR, wed the red plastic is to be switched out for Black! EZ |

solved the coolant trick, and I won't worry about oil yet, except to change it soon. Is Amsoil still the way to go? I try to avoid Citgo products. EZ |

3 ounces low on coolant? SUrprised the motor didn't blow up. You should be way more concerned about oil level than the coolant level. If you checked it cold, the oil level should be right around the low mark. |

Ezblast, Do yourself (and your engine) a big favor and use the Amsoil 20W-50 High Zinc Formula 100% Synthetic. You won't believe how it will take about 1/2 the racket out of your engine,, Perfect stuff for the 1125. |

Just use the Amsoil 20W/50 motorcycle oil. Not sure how an engine oil will make a motor 1/2 as loud, but you can't go wrong with Amsoil. |

Motor never got above 175 so far and the answer is that the coolant is topped off, at max so the sight gauge shows full - no line to see, actually the oil now shows full cold - should I be draining? EZ |

EZ - do a "hot check". It'll take about 20-30 minutes to do it right. Do it to the letter, don't skip anything. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290431/325984.html Z (Message edited by zac4mac on September 27, 2009) |

I agree with Zac, do a hot check before doing anything drastic. That being said, the hot chack is a royal PITA. I don't have the patience for it, so I opt for the cold check. |
