Does any one know if they make a track version of these, with thicker sliders or aluminum guards? Figure if I plan to go down it'll never happen... |

Taylor made racing makes carbon fiber engine covers. They are pricey, but less than half the cost of a new cover, plus they look cool IMO. I am probably going to order a set...if they ever get back from Labor Day break. I think they are a more protective option than just a bigger button on the clutch side...albeit much more expensive too. |

Yep on the Taylor Made covers. You mean to ask about a clutch or clutch cover? Buell Racing does make a racing slipper but I'd tend to recommend waiting until the stock slipper wasn't working well enough with heavy weight transfer to the front in hard braking. www.buell.com/en_us/_media/pdfs/gear/BuellRetailCa talog_en_US.pdf (Page 5) Because it does NOT affect emissions, you CAN order it through your dealer. Yes, I am trying to get in touch with Taylor Made this week, unsuccessfully. I am looking for covers on both sides. |

Got a set on my CR. Very nice construction, excellent fit. Just seal the open edges with epoxy to keep the moisture out so the layers don't separate over time. I'm hoping to NOT....find out how well they actually work though...! Mike |

Steve, At what point in the life of my clutch/slipper is it supposed to stop working? I can get a really good case of the wiggles now if I get too aggressive downshifting. |

TM only offering covers that fit Ver. B clutch cover. Sucks, but understandable. Will be in stock on the Tues, Sept 15th. Hello Grandstand designs! (Message edited by fresnobuell on September 09, 2009) |

If you have an '09 or '10, you are cool. Us that have the early '08s are not going to fit the clutch side cover. IIRC, they switched to the Rev. B cover during the latter part of the '08 MY? |

I have a July '08 R. How can I tell which cover I need? Can I upgrade to a Rev B? I low sided and scraped mine up pretty good. |

I have seen people shave the covers to fit the A cover. But I don't remember what all the guy did. |

Hey Fresnobuell, So cant use TM ones for our 2008's. Will the Grandstand designs pucks fit on ours, they come in a kit for left and right? As i understand they are more or less friction fit with slight mallet tap to get on??? thks |

Smoke, or anyone else who might know, I have the same ?'s as Betzy. Will the Grandstand designs pucks fit an '09(b version) and are they sold as a pair? I tried contacting them but have heard nothing back yet after a couple of days. Scott |

I have the same exact question as Oldmanriver, so I need to bump this post back up to the top. Do the Grandstand designs pucks fit the rev b clutch cover? I need only the puck, but I really do not want to pay $165 for a replacement that is purely cosmetic. |

The GSD clutch cover puck does not fit the second revision covers. |

Thank you for the quick response! I guess I will just have to come up with some sort of other alternative. |

http://www.ebracing.com/shop/product53.html Badweb sponsor Dark Horse Moto has(had?) a cover guard in the works too, no ETA on that yet. The OEM piece is expensive because its a solid block of aluminum. The older covers had a smaller puck, it was plastic and cheap to replace, but didn't protect as good. |
