The Saga continues. I had my 08 X in for servicing on a trouble. In any case, after a week of searching for a short. I got it back yesterday and after riding about 50 miles I notice the fan now runs over 3500 rpms when riding, it stops at idle, and now does not run after I shut off the bike even though it is hot. They did reflash the ECM. Does the new ECM reflash change the fan operational characteristics like I just described? Thanks |

Yes, it does. The fan should turn off at stops and when you shut the bike off also, unless it is quite hot. |

Thanks. I feel better now. BTW I also got a new muffler due to the muffler actuator was malfunctioning. Buell simply replaces the whole muffler instead of the actuator. |

Umm, thats like replacing the headlights because your tail light isn't working. The actuator is on top of the airbox, and is known to strip gears on some model years. Unless the valve itself in the muffler was jammed, I don't see why they replaced the muffler. |

Unless the valve itself in the muffler was jammed, I don't see why they replaced the muffler. I'm sure it couldn't have been the actuator, but the valve itself. |
