My 09 XB12 seems to have a lot of fan time, where my 08 didn't ? Now I hear the 010's have better temp detection and fan time is reduced. Can I make a mod to my 09 to get shorter run times ? or maybe it's time to get a new 010..

I got the low profile right side air scoop for my 08 but thats because i put a crash cage on it that decreased the air flow cause i had to cut the left side air scoop. This mod will help get more air over the rear cylinder or you can get the large scoop as well

I have heard that with the large RSS the fan almost never comes on.

Mine comes on a good bit, has never bugged me.

09 as well.

Yep, get the 2010 right side scoop, something like $15, and bolts right on : )
