Sounds like fun. For those not familiar with the area, you can load the following intersection into your computer or GPS: US-9 & Roa Hook Rd, Peekskill, NY 10567 Going to try to make it. It's about 3 to 4 hours from Sag Harbor, depending on which program I use:-). |

I heard it through the grapevine a famous person might be showing up this year but I can not divulge the Identity or my sources. I am not the famous person BTW even though I am a legend in my own mind. |

I heard it through the grapevine a famous person might be showing up this year Yeah, I'll try and make it. Seriously, though - if that becomes more than a rumor and an actual day is chosen, please keep us posted. |

24th will be the HHV Hammertime run. A more spirited outing up into Orange and Ulster counties. The 25th will be a more HHV traditional and leisurely sport-touring run of about 170 miles. Through Orange, Ulster, Dutchess, Putnam, Westchester counties. Bring your full tanks, strong constitutions, comfy seats. I can neither confirm nor deny the rumor or existence - or existence of a rumor- of famous people. Hope to see all of you there. |

So a nasty storm on the 24th followed by Fritz getting stuck at a restaurant on the 25th? |

Fritz will be riding something considerably more modern this year. I think. As for the weather, when did you get so cynical? |

Yeah Froggy, You just worry about keeping the rubber side down on this run. I'll be fine fuel-wise Dave, I promise not to be a buzz-kill. |

Yikes . . glad I didn't head there and miss you guys . . . I was headed that way, got delayed and ended up heading East . . . what a perfect day! Let me know when the Big W opens again . . . was it just closed today or it is closed down? I've got another place I go quite a bit that has great chili too . . . it's over in Buchanan by the Indian Point plant. |

The Big W as luck would have it, is closed on Tuesdays. We headed north from Danbury CT, hit a covered bridge in Cornwall, stopped in Kent Falls state park, took 55 into Webatuck, NY and down to Wingdale for the non-BBQ, then to the back-up BBQ in Mahopac. Not a bad little romp at about 150 leisurely miles. |

Holy Smoke is pretty good. Even bad BBQ is good BBQ. It's hard to screw up, but also hard to make well if that makes sense. I'm good for Holy Smoke at least twice a year. |

Really looking forward to this. Can't do both days, so I'm trying to decide between Hammer's pucker run or the Sunday special... |

Keeping up with Hammer, in his own back yard? Ain't going to happen. What happened to: THIS IS NOT A RACE. KEEP YOUR BALLS IN YOUR PANTS. OBEY ALL POSTED SPEED LIMITS, AND TRAFFIC RULES. WATCH OUT FOR GRAVEL, LEAVES BOTH WET AND DRY, DEER, AND LEAF PEEPERS. RIDE YOUR OWN RIDE. RIDE WITHIN YOUR LIMITS. RIDE SAFELY. SHARE CELL PHONE NUMBERS, SO NO ONE GETS LEFT BEHIND OR OUT IN THE COLD. Signed: Confused in Sag Harbor

I havent Lost anyone yet so keeping up is a non issue, besides thats not what the ride is about. Good challenging roads, good people, great bikes and a great freakin time. It is and always will be a spirited but safe ride. |
