i don't care if everyone rides a buell, obviously the more the better but it doesn't matter. so it sounds like we have approx half a dozen poeple so for that are interested, i'll start making calls to the trackday owner and see what i can do.
i'll post up the race schedule and the trackday dates.
I definitely plan on doing some trackdays in the future, but still getting over an injury now. I should have the X1 back on the road this week, if my feet can handle the ride up and back from tucson I'd like to come up and see some of the race, check things out and meet some other buellers. What time is everything happening on sunday?
the races start at 10:30 on sunday. gates on at 6am.
the more people the better, i'm using this race as a test bed for the store to judge customer interest in store supported activities/events. this race is for the store to see how interested buell riders are in buell racing and to see if the store wants to get into that and to possibly plan other events and rides strictly for buells not h/d.
i have about 20 raceday coupons that i will have at work this week that'll get you in on raceday for $5! if anyone wants one just come by the store this week and pick one up, i'll be at the service counter all week long.
ROUND 6 : September 12 & 13 - Firebird Main Track
ROUND 7 : October 3 & 4 - Firebird West Track
ROUND 8 : November 14 & 15 - Firebird Main Track * Vintage Round
Wycked, Hope your drive back from Cali was ok, I zipped up thru the Spars for breakfast, thanks for showing me that little cafe. The ST rides surprisingly well for a 600 LB bike, I caught up to a group of sport riders, and followed them until I stopped by this sign for a pic...
So my Lemon Law case is over, Harley paid me what I paid for the oogly, AND let me keep the bike! So if anyone is interested in a bike that TWO Stealerships say is good to go, and has no problems, I'm going to sell it. 2008 XB12XT, 15,500 miles, for $7000, or partial trade for an '07 or older XB12ss, or XB9...
Good luck with them track days, it sounds like at least 4 or 5 guys are interested in getting out there. Andrew, you know your going to have to be like Yoda, and show them the "force"... Everyone's going to be looking to you, and your track experience to guide them along.
Drive back from Cali was good, drive out sucked, we had to check the car out for Hail Damage when we got to Quartzite. Just checked it again when I got home and the few small dents have popped out from the sun.

Looks like I won't be able to make it up there this weekend, but will definitely be at some track days in the future and would like to do some rides with fellow badwebbers. How is the ASBN up there?
Anyone up for a ride through the spars on Sunday? I know its a weekend, and every wannabe ricky racer will be up there along with the cops, but I have no weekdays off this week and have to ride when I can. Last ride up there I passed a black XB lightning that looked alot like Brian, wonder if he's back on two wheels again...

We are thinking of leaving the northwest side of town around 8am.
The Spars is an area south of Prescott on Hwy89 where the "white Spar Campground" is. There are probably about 100 or more curves in about a 20 mile stretch of road. If you take Grand Ave. or US60/ Hwy89 out of town heading northwest, you will go through Wickenburg. About 20 miles north of Wickenburg you will go over Yarnell Pass, this is a nice group of sweepers. The road is great to do on a weekday morning when there is little traffic and no cops.
Weekends you have to go early to beat the crowds and the cops... Ping me if your interested in going

I work the next four weekends, so I'll be doing my rides on the weekdays. Probably on Mondays, since Wycked gets like every other monday off... I'll post the next time we go out on a weekend.

Put me on the list for tomorrow morning Bart. I have this Monday off, but wouldn't be able to ride, have to do the whole Emissions testing on the Duc for registration and some repairs on the house that I was supposed to be doing this weekend.
Hello, I just moved down to Tucson from Michigan. Trying to get into flight school at the moment. I don't have my bike down here yet, but hope to within a month or so. Any riders close to Tucson?
How is AZ for twisties? I've only been here a few weeks, haven't really had the desire to go exploring in anything but my Uly unfortunately...
I'm in tucson, bike has no tranny atm but should be back on the road in a week or two. There's some nice twisties around here, check out Mt Lemmon (catalina highway) its about 20-30 minutes from most places in town and is an absolute hoot.
i just want to say thanks too all the everyone that came down to the races last weekend. your support and help is very much appreciated. too those of you that didn't make it out you missed an exciting weekend full of mechanical problems and very close racing on the the track. i won the supertwins race in the morning and extended my lead in that class and pulled a hard fought second in thunderbike. thank again and i hope to see everyone again in oct.-andrew
It was cool to come down to the track. Sorry I was a little antisocial and took off early. I was hungover like you wouldn't believe, had to pullover and heave a couple time on the way home.
Just out of curiousity did you guys dyno the CR after you put that pipe on it. It sounds bad ass, but does it up the performance any?

Not sure Bart, the Miata assploded its clutch and it has taken some work getting it finished. Had to even get a new flywheel. (throw out bearing disintegrated)
Depending on how long it takes to get everything back in over the weekend, lets me know how much time I have on Monday for relaxation.

sorry i haven't replied sooner but i've been home sick for a few days. wayne, i can help you just give me a call on my cell. and for those who are curious, i still don't know if i'll make it out this weekend to the races, still don't have the motor fixed for the bike and i have to work saturday since i've missed half a weeks worth of work. it really sucks cuz i have the pionts lead in supertwins and if i miss this race i won't win the class championship. bummer!
