I just bought a new Buell an 2007 XB12R and its bone stock looking for some upgrades to do to it. First thing is mainly performance. |

Your favorite dealer, or many of the board sponsors. Don't bother with the ECM if you haven't changed anything else. |

Interesting, it looks like Al isn't carrying the 12 ecm anymore, anyway you can order it from Liberty or your local dealer, the part number is 32620-03Y http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/171 43/449292.html?1253276004 |

The XB12 race ECM is discontinued. You can't buy it from Buell anymore. That's why I'm not carrying it. The 03-04 XB9 Race ECM is discontinued. The 05-07 XB9 Race ECM will be discontinued when they run out, but I think there is still stock on them. Al |

The trick is to find a dealer or after market shop that still has one in stock. I'm pretty sure they've been discontinued such as the pipe. It makes sense since it wouldn't work on 08 & newer models anyway. The phone is your friend Call around and with a little luck you may find one. Also keep tabs on the classified section, maybe put out a 'want to buy' ad. |

Afraid you are at the mercy of ebay. For non-radical intake and exhaust mods, the plug-in race ECM works pretty well. Any other tuning systems will require some homework... it's OK - but most folks would rather RIDE so you might want to check for them. There is one listed on Ebay - search for "buell xb race ecm" and there are a couple going for $150-ish on a "buy it now" Not bad. |

What I did was save the data in my stock ecm and made a file it in my laptop(burn a cd just for safety), after that I use a free existing program and tuned my ecm to basically race specs and it didn't cost me a penny. |

You can use ECMSPY to burn the Race ECM Fuel and Timing Maps to your stock ECM ... don't waste money on a Race ECM ... |
