The movie is about the future and the main actor was on another movie which the name of it was a number. It was a Firebolt with a nice pipe. It sounded great in surround! They showed it for a good while. The only bad part of it is that it was ridden by a chick. Nothing against that but they spent so much money on the "Book of Buell" and all the 'I am bad ass so I don't wave to other riders" marketing hehe. I'm just kidding ok? for all the sensitive guys out there. |

The movie was Gamer, the bike was an 08 Bolt, no special pipe, just the stock one, surround sound makes it sound better tho. Still had the stock stickers and reflectors ha ha. |

Good call. I didn't said the name just to make it interesting hehe. The movie got very bad reviews but I thought it was good. I used to have a Firebolt and I didn't thought it sounded like that. But now that you say that, I remember I loaned my 1125r to my brother and when he took off, it sounded really cool (stock can). It is a different perspective when you ride it than when you see it and hear it from a distance. |

How much do you think Buell paid for that exposure? |

My guess would be, Buell got paid? Not sure how that works? |

Yeah, pipes sound different for a lot of reasons. I remember right, it was a low angle in an alleyway, so I'm sure that makes a big difference as well. |

Steeltech, By the meaning of the term I do. I do not know how the movie industry works, if they feel the type chosen fit the scene, or if the companies submit their product, along with funding for the movie, to be placed in a scene? Product placement is probably the case, and it makes more sense! |

I have a friend that makes music for t.v. and movies and he told me if you see a brand in a movie, they paid to put it there. |

IIRC Blade 3 had a pair of Firebolt's in it. Wesley Snipes and Jessica Biel rode off on them. Decent screen time too. (Message edited by clbofaz on September 15, 2009) |
