Johnboy777 I haven't seen that in a long while. That is a classic as true then as it is now. |

I knew when it was announced that H-D would close around 200 dealers it was bleak but this is really striking close to home. Hopefully it is only temporary and things will return to normal! Cheers, Will |

The sad side of managing a company is proper resource usage when times are tough. Sometimes a company has to do things to stay viable. I have had to deal with it at my company many times. That is why I almost never will vote for a politician unless he has had to fire or lay people off during his career. It is a reality check that most politicians in office cannot pass. It also explains why most do not live in the real world. |

>>>>>>H-D would close around 200 dealers Partially, not entirely, accurate. Some dealers will be consolidated in territories. |

"I'd love to be part of an organization where everyone believed in the good of the company, not just their own personal needs." Chadhargis I was for 15 years. Well, at least the original core people were. With growth came more out for themselves. All went down the drain. I hope better for the elves. "You can thank them by going to your local dealer and causing a shortage of in stock Buells" Froggy I've watched the bikes, their problems and fixes over the last 2 years. Despite being very critical of things (rightly and wrongly) I find myself liking them more and more. Other brands did not survive the same scrutiny. Even the Big 4 have few models of interest. So yeah, I may help clear some inventory. Time to visit some of the dealers down here. Don't pass the kool-aid just yet but I may be thirsty soon. |

Just something I think that should be done whenever Obama speaks. Imagine the flushing. Yeah, I just flushed mine after reading that fodder you posted. btw - I watched the President of the United States address Congress last night. Sure was refreshing to hear the truth for a change. |

And they have ten of them lined up as you walk in the front door. A pretty sight, for sure. |

And they have ten of them lined up as you walk in the front door. A pretty sight, for sure. back in 2006, LakeShore Harley-Buell had 14 Ulysses lined up in their front showroom window. That sure was a tempting sight, but I purchased mine from Ukes instead. Sadly, LakeShore still has one 2006 Ulysses left for $6995.00 in the fast black color. |
