Had my '08 1125R dynoed at Wheelers while I was up there. Bike was very rough up thru the RPM's, bounced the rear wheel about off of the rollers, printout looks more like a EKG then a Dyno Run. K&N filter, air box removed, noid removed, Jardine RT5 Slipon. If you bring it up off idle, 3500-4000 RPM in neutral you can hear a popping in the exhaust. I have PDF's of the run, but they are too large to attach to this post. (or I don't know what I am supposed to do). PM me and I will foreward you the dyno printouts, BTW only 800 miles on the clock.

So was the problem with the wheel bouncing/slipping on the dyno or your bike? I had my dynoed over the summer and it looked really bad--my theory is that the rear wheel was slipping due to dyno operator haste in setting it up. It was an open house at a harley tuning shop and they had to do some "tricks" to get mine to even fit on the thing. I'll post it up to get some feedback.

I'm with Fresno, was it not strapped down correctly? Shouldn't be bouncing around even if it doesn't run right.

You list some mods there, but no fuel remap?
What about 3500-4000 in gear under a load?

It fit well by my looking at it FWIIW. It was tied down at the rear by the rider pegs with ratchet straps, (not the best in hindsight). He did another 1125R and showed me that run, very smooth. It was bone stock and had about 4+ more HP, 3+ ft/lb on the torque. The popping that I hear in the exhaust is what led me to think that there may be an ignition problem or fuel delivery issue.

4th gear run looks the same as the top end run against the limiter. breaks up most between 3-4K.

Only added fuel to the mixture via the AFVs and a K&N filter. Bike runs great, so I am thinking (hoping) it is the dyno.

Is that the dyno run?

Man..Spark blow out or something?

It even has a smoothing of 3..Can't imagine what it looks like on zero smoothing.


are these dyno numbers kinda low for the mods?

even on STD correction. The bike did not break 125whp. Strange.

Hopefully you have the latest flash.
There's allegedly something after the 05Z, but it may be for 2009s and 2010's
Remember, the 2008s DESTROYED spark plugs before the latest flashes.
Try the OSB tune.

They did???? WOW I guess this is the first I have heard about this!! I am on my 3rd set of plugs but, I've got 27,500+ miles. I sure would like to know how many 08's had this destroying issue. Clark due tell ;+}

I would disagree with this statement as well.

I still have not upgraded to the latest flash and have 15000 miles. Replaced plugs at 12200 and they were just barely out of spec. I do run more fuel and and spark map similar to the original no flash ecm in the WOT range.

Seems like every time a new flash comes out the HP keeps dropping. LOL

First, if you don't mention your build date, it's hard to make a judgement.

Mine was a Feb08, 1466. Mine were worn, both sets, but far from being DESTROYED. They looked like they were being fired by a high energy ignition system, nothing unexpected.

Hmm highway miles, nope. My 140 mile daily commute is ALL 2 lane TN county roads. Oh yeah yesterday I rode on I-65 for 7 miles because there was an accident on TN25 that I had to go around.

BTW, after 35+ years of riding and over 500,000 miles (I stopped counting) I do consider my self lucky. You should really watch using the "liar card" even in jest, unless you know someone VERY well (1st and only warning).

I'm w/ dentguy. That looks more like an earthquake than a dyno. I would venture to say something was amiss with the dyno setup. Any dyno experts on board?

Depends on what the smoothing level is set on for the plot. Power is delivered to the rear wheel in pulses, so it is perfectly natural for some jaggedness in the curve. Set the smoothing level to 5 and if you still see it, then maybe something is amiss. Probably a loose sensor on the dyno.

again, the bike runs like a scalded cat, so I *think* that is was dyno error. I posted it for an expert to make an assessment. I find it VERY hard to believe that this dyno chart is accurate.

Shops that are used to doing Harleys can get caught with their pants down by an 1125.
First run yesterday, 5th went too fast, too quick for the dyno... it had a "shit my pants" error.

I got a good run tho, 121.4HP, 68 Ft-Lbs and a FAT 12.4 A/F.
I dropped my AFV 5 points and my WFO enrichment by 6.

Tony, I wouldn't say my plugs were destroyed at 12k, they were still firing fine, but..
It was the first time I ever saw that much erosion of the electrode.
That plug-over coil throws a hella hot spark.

I didn't get a printout of my run, but the screen was a lot smoother than that.
Torque was very flat too, 68 on top, around 63-64 for the low point.
87* F when we ran her, at 5000' ASL.

Yeah, the shop couldnt' even find the coil to monitor RPM, hence no torque measurement. I wasn't impressed.

Harlan - we didn't know the first time either.
Yesterday, I showed Dan the rear spark plug location and then I just clipped onto the whole bundle of 3 wires.
Worked like a champ.
