is the time the bike is in the shop worth the premium? here in hawaii there is no lemon law for motorcycles, but if my 1125r was a car it would have been a lemon. in the shop for over 30 days (signals, speedo, clutch weep, charging, cluster) and/or in for the same problem 3 times (charging). all of the issues, save the cluster have been dealt with; however, the time off of the bike and the inconvenience of getting the bike to and from the dealer is not worth it. what a pain in the a$$. now, if a dealer offered an 08 with an 09 cluster, updated clutch kit and updated rear turn signals off of the floor then yeah, i'd go for it. and as for running right, while it has gotten much better with the latest flash (which was out AFTER i bought my bike yet my dealer falsely informed me that they had applied) it's still nowhere near optimal. do some reading on the other buell board and you will see that the bike can run stronger and even cooler. |

Well spoke to a dealer that Xodot recommended and im off to pick up my 2009 1125r (white aka the fastest color) this weekend.
Well worth the 500km ride to drop off the trade in. Then next day a nice 500km ride back to figure out a name for her. |

My 08 hasn't seen a shop in 18 months.
Untrue, I had the shop do the 12K service. Other than that, I'm just keeping on riding it. 22K and counting. |
