Holy cow, look who comes out of the woodwork, Mr. Sean Pepper hisself! (I'm never using the "R" word again, hope you know that  )
You'd like this bike. Black with some chrome here and there, snarly, loaded with attitude, yanks your arms out of their sockets and sends the front end skyward at will. Not unlike another bike we know. Only faster.
BTW, thanks for the elfy gift, just got it!
John: All of the parts and services needed to do this are in our catalog and price list ... basically an XB9 1200 kit, a pipe, and a PC3. Disassembly, reassembly, and case boring labor on top of that. Total price will vary with how much you do yourself.
Justin wants to make it easy for you, and just sell you the complete bike ready to go. That's hard to beat.
Rex: the bike at the moment looks pretty much like any other black XB9, except it has a chrome tail section, and the pipe is different. But I'll get a picture and post it.
Sport Tourer? No problem. Go take FMJ's for a spin and see what you think. We're doing another guy's S2 right now as well. We're averaging a couple of 88" motors a month.
BTW, we just got feedback on the first 98" Twin Cam kit we've delivered: 119hp. This is a kit we've put together as an alternative to the factory 95" kit. We sent a prototype to a longtime customer for testing and evaluation. He also has our heads and a set of S&S 625 cams. Hopefully I can get a sheet out of him. But that ain't too shabby of a start. |

Aaron glad you liked the elfy, I'd have shined it for you if time were not a factor hehe.
Coming out of the woodwork isn't easy these days believe me but I'm just on hold for now and when a few things get sorted I'll be on Badweb terrorising as usual 
As for my Buell I can't touch the broken motor for legal reasons so I've bought a 1200 Evo motor that needs a little work to get it running. It will make a good stand-in until the other one gets sorted. Right now wheels are in motion to get this other motor sorted in time for Croix as a start to my biking season. Since winter 2001 I've had just over a month of riding on the Big Buell, NOT GOOD!!!!! Wish me luck

Hal's has an XB1200R "stroker" available now; chaindrive,full Cicotto bodywork,110rwhp, track or street version.All done with Buell components.
Put one in my S3 and its doing some amazing stuff as it loosens up. HALSPA.COM has details..... |

Rick A,my engine is a "hybrid".We put a lightened X-1 crank in and stuffed an XB topend on.Lots of topsecret porting and milling(included on the XB12R HALS bike). Took comp to 11.3 and feed it with a 44mmCV. Screaming eagle ignition as well.My bill ran about $1000 more than normal because I replaced my sportster crank with the trick one. It made 102rwhp and 89ftlbs when it was still tight. Terry says I can expect 105 or so once we can go to synthetic after break in.My conversion ran $4700 cause I had to start from scratch.They offer the stroker as a do it yourself kit for XB owners,or send in your engine,or entire bike. I just took a job with a company down the street from you in Lafayette, CO.
I'll still be working here in the SF Bay Area, but I'm coming out there on Tuesday and staying through Saturday.
I want to see one of these XB12's for myself, up close and personal.

Good point, but with that little plastic CA canister, it seems like it is legal. I guess I would have to buy an XB here, drive it out to Colorado, fix it up, and drive it back.
Dang, that sounds like TOO much fun. Maybe I could also do it in conjunction with Bonneville.
