Hey guys.....just so you know....its not cut and dry. If Herin wins both races and leads the most laps (which he did at VIR)....we will have to finish at least 8th both days. That would make it a tie and we would win the tie breaker due to wins. Just thought you would like to know. Thanks again for all the support! |

Good luck Richie! You have some big ugly mean folks packing heat guarding the bikes tonight? I would! You are in Jersey you know. I'm not kidding. |

If anyone can tear themselves away from the Sportbike Finale, keep an eye on young PJ Jacobsen in the Supersport event. Just turned 16 he has been racing in Spain (plus some Irish road racing) for Aspar Martinez in he Spanish championship and has already competed in one MotoGP 125 race back at Indy last year at just 15!. In his first Supersport qualifying this weekend he is in 3rd place for Celtic Racing and is sure to be a star of the future! Somebody sign him up for MotoGP 125 or Moto2 now! |

Danny's fastest time yesterday was disallowed, but his second best time was allowed, placing him 13th in practice. Today he was 2nd fastest in final qualifying, which moves him up to 11th on the grid.Near as I can figure, he needs 26 points between both races to clinch the championship. |

Danny had a 1:23.752. If he could have run that yesterday he would have been in superpole. Hell, he would have had pole if he rant that time in superpole. Not to bad. He has the speed to geut up there. I just hope he plays it safe and gets the points. No need to win the race now. |

Chaz's time proved that the Aprilia is evil. 1:26.666. I hope Chaz does well today. He is a good guy and has struggled this year. |

The latest on superbikeplanet.com has Knapp back on the GSX-R for the superbike race? Is that right? Did he trade rides again? Nevermind, I missed something I guess. (Message edited by jandj_davis on September 05, 2009) |

I talked to Cory's dad who had talked to Cory. Cory said Blake Young checked up and Cory ran into the back of him on the last lap. Blake said he had some kind of problem, but I don't know what. Anyway, Cory felt he had Blake covered and would have had 6th, but the both went of the track and Taylor went by. Well 8th is not bad and I believe he will do better tomorrow. His comment to me yesterday is that the Buell is working really good. Cory told his dad they had done some adjustments to the ride height this morning and the bike was working even better and he was near dragging his elbows. |

Danny now leads Josh by 22pts. Tomorrow, if Josh Herrin gains a win and a pt for laps led, he'll accrue another 31 points, so Danny will need at least 9 pts which means he'll need to finish 12th or better. Championship Point Standings (after 19 of 20 races): 1. Eslick, 373 points 2. Herrin, 351 (-22) 3. Martin Cardenas, 340 4. Hacking, 283 5. DiSalvo, 270 6. Zemke, 233 7. Peris, 226 8. Davies, 219 9. Aquino, 214 10. Rapp, 200 11. Knapp, 169 12. Hayden, 149 13. Fong, 119 14. Barnes, 115 15. Beck, 113 16. Damian Cudlin, 92 17. Fillmore, 90 18. Westby, 83 19. Higbee, 70 20. Pietri, 63 (Message edited by blake on September 05, 2009) |

This isn't just fun and games. Sad to say, but I'd be concerned that one of the other Yamaha riders or even another IL4 rider will be looking to try to take Danny out. I sure hope that I'm wrong. |

I hope not. With all the scrutiny of the Buell winning races and now possibly wrapping the season up with a Championship I could see why you or anyone could feel it could happen. I'll keep the faith though that in that situation Danny's Dirt Track skill's will prevail. |

I don't think the other riders would sink that low. Most of the other riders have been really good. There is one rider one a green bike that has done nothing but cry though. Danny can that some rubbing though. Remember back to that pass he put on that one rifer on a green bike that has been crying so much. |

The bad part about all this is that the 600 people out there are going to take a bit away from Danny's riding by saying that it is all because he had more CC's. Danny could have done this well on any of the top bikes. |

Danny could have done this well on any of the top bikes I wouldn't say that. The Buell Danny has a great relationship with. The bike fits him like a glove. Barnes not so much and Barnes is no slouch. Taking nothing from Danny but Taylor Knapp has drew my attention more and more this year. He works on his own bikes and has to get on another bike (GSXR) and ride Superbike. Funny he does well in both. Hes one talented individual. Look for him to be a force Reckon with in up coming seasons. |

No doubt that Taylor is one hell of a rider, and one to watch. But look back at the past years. Danny has had several podiums on a mid pack bike. The Matsushima bike was not a front running bike, but Danny put it there. Danny has found something special with the Buell. But he is a charger on EVERYTHING he does. I grew up with him. I have seen him take bikes that shouldn't be on a track and win. |

Wow, your a Eslick. Welcome!! I'm just saying take some pressure off Taylor where he has a crew and is riding one class and he may just be unstoppable. Would love to see those two on one team. Something tells me Barney may not be around next year. |

Oh man. RMR racing with Danny and Taylor!! How about both in Sport bike and Super bike. THat would be the coolest. And yeah, I am an Eslick. Danny and AJ are my younger cousins. I really hope that something happens for Taylor. I know the Latus boys have helped him out, but he needs full support. I would like to see RMR a true factory Buell team. |
