Sorry didnt specify .. they are actual carbon to carbon brakes like they have in MOTOGP and are the Buell ZTL system . they bolt right up . if you dont already know , carbon to carbon brakes are the best in the world and get BETTER as they get hotter. jake |

It says German tax is included, did they knock off the 15 or 17% or whatever the VAT is at right now? |

Carbon brakes do get better as they heat up but the downside is that they are useless when cold. Their site says they make a streetable version but unless they've made some huge advances that the biggest brake manufacturers haven't heard of yet, I'd avoid them for casual street riding. |

What he said they are complete junk on the street. Enjoy! |

I was thinking about the cold issue before others mentioned. Last time I was out on my Uly, I rode a little over 200 miles without touching the brakes. The only time I did end up using the brakes was at the end of an off ramp. It would totally suck to not be able to stop at that ramp. |

What would suck would be for the rotor disc to delaminate and fail....and lock up the front wheel... |

Well, since the brakes are going on a race bike I think it's a great choice |

Race bike...somehow I was thinking street bike...great choice for a race bike with a good maintenance program and predictive component life cycle routine. |

Sweet setup. But anything shy of GP I don't understand having it. The Buell teams do just fine with the factory brakes and a aftermarket pad set. Your money though of coarse. Be cool to see is all I can say but not beneficial. If your going to race there's better places to spend the money. |

Pretty cool. Interesting retention hardware. I am interested to know how you like it, I suspect it will be great. Also seeing this brought to my mind the dual disk setup that Buell sold and I was curious if the ZTL2 set could be used with the dual disk. If so then just imagine Jakes new brakes as a dual disc setup...... |

Dana, Less unsprung weight, yes? Carbon density less than steel I'm thinking. |

There's so many trick parts on Jake's bike it's quickly becoming a showcase bike. I look forward to his posts to see how it's evolving. |

You bet Blake but at club level racing its alot of money spent where it could go to other places. If money is no object then by all means have at it. |

I guess one thing I've heard is that some racers have had problems with rotors warping. Would this end the problem of it possibly happening??? Theres a thought. |

From what I understand they can last much longer too, as much as 4+ times longer if I remember right... |

C 3390 Including tax ? I'm afraid to ask what a "C" is. I hope it doesn't refer to a price expressed in children. Pretty cool indeed. $$$, but cool. The whole bike really is an amazing showcase of the coolest parts for sure. |

Its a E for Euro. 2449.90 Euro is US$3505.56 at time of posting. Blake: I can't use the Euro symbol, it turns into the following: € |
