I thought '08's were only available in black. What prices are they quoting you for each year? Thanks |

They are asking 9999 CDN for 08 (listed 12999) 11500 for 09 (listed 15,999) But they did say they would most likely drop the PDI ($980) as they werent selling at all. So white is the new black eh? I know black adds a good 10hp so white must truely rocket. (Message edited by ratgin on September 03, 2009) |

I gave a scientific verification awhile back as to why the white ones are faster. |

Ratgin, You'l be fine, because of the brutal ferocity of the white, it will simultaneous change your gear as you hit warp speed, which is a white only feature. And for the savings of the 08' you could always change it to white...like i did lol.. Jake |

For $1500 I'd go 09 just cuz I really dig the white and blue colors. |

Ratgin, You have to consider a white one will get lost in the snow drifts of Petawawa! I bought my 08 Monday. Her name is "Pearl". I went with the good deal and chose to save a few bucks with the 08. I would never notice the riding difference between an 08 and 09. I ride as far east as Renfrew County Ratgin. Maybe we could meet in Foymount for tea some time? X. |

Xodot Hwy 41 is one of my favorite rides, Kaladar threw Bon Echo out to Renfrew Nice road nice views. Im older and wiser (aka slower) so i need to pick a fast color to give the illusion of speed. Black or White are leading the pack at this point. Red appearently is only good in the twisties. |

I hate to disappoint everyone, but it has been PROVEN that the black '08's are the fastest. Wfo_rey - Black '08 @ the Texas Mile Buelltech6 - Black '08 & sub 10 sec timeslips Jerseythunder - Black '08 & working on winning his class this year Now don't feel bad, the White '09's do look nice, no argument there. They just can't keep up with the Black '08's. |

Im admittedly old and slow. Remember it is not how good you do it, its how good you look while you do it. |

Humm...I think it IS how good you do it, regardless of how you look. Oh wait, are we still talking about motorcycles? |

Ratgin, I have traversed that area west to east - Bancroft to Calabougie on Centenial Lake Rd. A little rough in spots but quite technical. Now that you've suggested south to north as well I'll have to jump onto 41 and give that a spin next time I'm out that far. So many roads so short a season. X. |

Xodot 508 (Centenial Lake Rd)is considered the sport bike road in that area with 511 right behind it. Both are nice rides. Hwy 41 is more laid back but a nice ride on good roads. Avoid 509 and 506 as the roads are really in rough shape. |

The 08 come with the awesome 25th anniversary Black and Blue paint scheme and the 25th anniversary badge with Mr.Buell's signature on the steering head. All the Issues have already been resolved too. Nough said Yo. |

Well went to the dealer and after i stopped laughing at their trade in offer for my 09 Nightster. I walked away and will go visit them next year when they still have the same amount of 08 and 09 1125r's with additional 2010s. My math must be off because the sign said 11,500 and the blue book said 9k and they wanted 4500 difference. not very impressed with their honesty atm. Clark, then it sounds like your bike is a lemon. I know the 2008's have had some issues, heck even the 2009 models have seen clutch weep and stator issues. Now...got to any other forum. Gixxers, SV, R1, CBR1000, etc.....and start reading. They will all have post after post of people who have issues with their bike and how to correct those issues. Heck, I used to ride BMWs and the forums were full of issues. The big difference is when you took it to the dealer, 9 times out of 10 they'd look at you and say, "There's nothing we can do about it" or "It's supposed to do that". My 1125 is the only bike I've ever owned that I haven't had to put a PowerCommand and an aftermarket exhaust to make run right. It's a beast! A fantastic bike. Sorry you're having issues with yours, but the old saying "One bad apple spoils the whole bunch" doesn't apply to manufacturing. |

Nearly ALL the issues common on the 2008s are known with a fix in hand. If your bike has an issue, there is already a knowledge base available with a fix kit to be had overnight. We've got really good deals on 08s and 09s. We'd be happy to hook you up either way. |

After my initial issues (Known 2008 Issues) I haven't had any other problems (<--knocks on wood) so I think you would be ok with the 08. If I had the opportunity to buy the 09 over the 08 for not much less, then go with the 09 just to be safe. I love my 08, but with that being said, it might fall apart tomorrow, just something you never know. But as it stands it is a beast and I get pure enjoyment every time I swing a leg over it. BUY IT! Hit Jeremy up (FT_Bstrd) I am sure they still have a few they will put you on for a great price. |
