First off i just want to say that the performance of this bike is amazing. Although i have really only ridden it romping around my neighborhood. THIS THING IS A F@#$ING BEAST. i just thought id share that.....like you all dont know already. well here i am 5 days into the project. So far all i have used is some various grit sandpaper. water. primer and a plastic restore kit. I plan to leave it the gray color and i am going to clear coat it sometime. but i think it contrasts good and its real close to the color gray on the buell logo on the AB cover. This is the way it will be for awhile. And soon. like tomorrow.....i will be starting my exhaust project.

If your concerned with little nicks and dings that cant be economically sanded out Ive found that some "plastic repair putty" goes a long way. Stuff is pretty much the same concept as JB Weld but for plastic. Work it to activate the compound, apply, dry, sand and paint. presto chango. |
