Hey everyone,
Just got back from 6 wks army training and went out to run old betty (08' 1125r, heh heh). She's feeling sluggish, especially at mid to higher rpms. With around 10500 miles on her, do you think she's ready for the plugs/valves/etc service? Or, do you think I should just add fuel cleaner additive and wait?

Was it on a battery tender while you were away? If not, I'd plug her in over night and see what happens.

Mine tends to lay down a little when it's hot out, so if this was the case don't worry too much. As always it's a good idea to take her out and thrash the snot outta her like P_squared said.

6 weeks, are you in high humidity area, and have ethanol mix fuel; was the tank complete full?
I have seen a 10 Gallon tank of ethanol mix pull 3 cups of water in 2-3 weeks time. I would recommend Sta-bil as a first step. It may take a bit, and fuel economy will suffer if you have pulled water, but sta-bil will get rid of it.

I do not believe Stabil is designed to deal with water in gas. Stabil specifically states on their website that it will not improve old gas. If you think there is water in the fuel, Dry Gas or a similar product might be your only help...or drain the fuel.

Cool, thanks for the advice guys. I thrashed it like PSquared and DaltonGang said. It's mostly better, but, like most of us, still not satisfied...(oh well!).
