It doesn't seem like this topic has been addressed formally so I guess I'll start it. The only Buell related activity I have heard about so far is folks meeting at Hals Buell on Aug 20th and riding out to the factory top deliver the card. I'm still debating about coming. I grew up on Cleveland Ave just down the road from hals and my parenst still live there so I have a cheap place to sleep. Is there any other Buell activities going on besides the ride on the 20th?? And who from this board plans on going? |

Dan...There should be a good turnout from Hal's, Uke's & Chicago for the 20th. I'd think there will also be people from Detroit, Minneapolis, Waterloo, NEW YORK CITY etc. As for the 100th....it's hard to say what will really be happening with Buellers. I know my BRAG chapter has been asked to sign-up as volunteers for some events. I'll probably only spend one day in Milwaukee. It's too tempting not to go hangout for a day. Maybe I'll have a party at my place (I live in Lake Geneva) for Buellers. I have plenty of lawn space for camping. Mostly just reacting as things come along. Hope to see ya at one of the events!!! So, who's going to be in town for the 100th? Who's going to stay over from the 20th? (If you want to talk about the 20th do it in the other thread so we don't get a talking to.) Who's planning on riding into town with one of the orgainzed H.O.G. rides/routes? (And just to throw a monkey wrench into the thread, since I can handle a bit of confusion at times.) Who's going to Sturgis this year? I've been through Sturgis, but have never been to SturgisTM. And how many are just planning on taking the months of July and August off and doing SuperSPLASH, Sturgis, the 20th, and the 100th? |

Anybody want to ride from So CA to Milwaukee for the HD/Buell 100/20? (or get picked up along the route) I would like to put together a ride with a couple other folks willing to do about 3, maybe 4 days from here to there. Don't have the time to do the 10 days that the organized rides have scheduled. |

Steve: You can have a GREAT time doing a 4 day ride. I rode my FLH to the Mulwaukee 85th with a group from Sacramento and we had nothing but fun. Court |

Steve - I'll be pulling from sf to meet James Provo at Salt Lake. He live's in the LA area - send me your number and I'll call you with his and you all can hook up and ride together. It sounds like we have matching ideas on how long the trip should be and I look foward to meeting you on the trip. Just Blasting on the Dark side! EZ |

Steve, take a look in the SoCal section I posted a planned route to get to the Buell 20th. I'd be more than happy to put together a group. I'm only planning on going for the Buell 20th though, I'll probably start back home on the Aug 23rd, before H-D's 100th. James |

James & Edward, I am more interested in Buell festivities actually (and visiting Family) than the Harley 100th. Feel free to contact me offline qed2@mindspring.com - I am new to the board here so will go check out the SoCal section too. I just didn't want to take the 10 days to get there that the organized rides are planning - stay in touch |

From hog.com and the Harley ticket pages:
Quote:Ticket holders also receive unlimited single-person admission at the Milwaukee lakefront, the final stop for the "The Harley-Davidson Experience", featuring fully updated and expanded exhibits that circled the globe during the company's Open Road Tour. It will also be the first chance anywhere to see the exciting new 2004 Harley-Davidson® and Buell® motorcycles — all in addition to the Miller Roadside Cafe and displays from the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Ford.

Interesting. Maybe we'll see something new from Buell yet this year (but I wouldn't count on it). |

Lake...I wouldn't either. The HD factory folks I have meet up here are finally admitting the 2004 new models will be the grand splash for the second century. Of interest, I have heard much about the V-Rod being the platform for a new family (generation) of bikes which was part of an HD VP's speech/press release when it was first introduced. Is kind of interesting what you can pick up in the bars and restaurants around the factory when the employees and sub-contractors are out getting loaded. LOL |

BluzM2- Hey Brad, I got a room from 8/19-21. Were you looking for a place? Some people were talking about riding around northern WI afterwards so I could drop you off on the way down the western side. Let me know what your plans are. |
