is that the Buell model or aftermarket. Either way, what a packing job. |

Ouch! Where did you get it from? Was it shipped to you or did you pick it up from the dealer? |

Your dealer will have you a replacement tomorrow, right? That box . . . (I am holding one of the pieces here) must have REALLY gotten the crap kicked out of it . . . If your dealer has any problem getting one nearly instantly . . let me know. |

@ Froggy I got it online from www.surdyke.com I don't have a Buell dealer around me. The crappy thing is that it took 2 weeks to show up. @ Court If you have a spare, I would buy it from you tonight. I'm so mad at these guys right now, I don't want to wait another 2 weeks. I called them as soon as I found out and they told me they would get back to me tomorrow.........I don't want to put up with that crap again. -Nick- |

Nick, in the future conciser ordering from Liberty, the discount isn't as great as that site, but the service is top notch and you should be able to get the parts faster. Anyway the good news is, your bike isn't down waiting on a critical part. But it does suck that this happened. |

That sucks. Receiving a broken or defective part is like getting socks for Christmas. It's like those poor folks on Antique Road Show that have something that they think is worth a fortune then find out it's worth maybe two bucks. I sure hope the dealer that you got it from can remedy the situation ASAP. |

I'm assuming that Surdyke packaged it that way. I would get a full refund including shipping. Order it from elsewhere. Ask them if they treat their chrome in the same manner. Heck, chrome or plastic, anything can be fragile (as obviously seen). They should take time & care on packaging any part that is shipped. |

I bought my scoops from Surdyke as well. Besides UPS rerouting one of the scoops halfway across the country in the wrong direction both scoops arrived in one piece. |

>>>>Nick, in the future conciser ordering from Liberty, Boy . . I'' go along with that. I'm not sure who the heck Surdyke is but I can tell you that would be nearly IMPOSSIBLE to break. What do they do . . . sell like 50% off or something? Liberty offers a 10% on Buell parts and, in my experience . . . anytime I find a discount better than that it comes with some downside. If you'd bought from a dealer, having one today would be zero problem, in fact I think Liberty has them in stock but I'll be eager to hear how your dealings with these Surdyke guys are. The parts are plentiful. |

Surdyke will be fine. My buddy ordered a some parts from them and one was damaged ... they replaced it no questions asked. Surdyke gives 20% off retail on all orders. |

More shipping damage from them? Sounds like a trend. |

Actually it wasn't shipping damage. He ordered a front fairing for a XB9 and there was a razor cut across it like whoever unpacked it originally used a razor blade to open it and screwed it up. So it was poor quality control while packing. They sent a new one and also sent a UPS call tag for the damaged one. I personally have ordered quite a bit of parts from them over the years with no issues. I do like the 20% discount! |

>>>There was no packing material inside the box There was when it left Buell. Checked today and it sounds like, for whatever reason, it may have been repackaged by the after market folks. |

I spoke with the surdyke this morning and they're waiting to send back an official response to my email, but it sounds like I'll have to wait another 7-10 days for the part to arrive (that was their estimate).........Why so long for this part? Did anybody else have to wait this long? -Nick- |

Why so long for this part? You need to ask SURDYKE. Buell has shipped over 500. I got mine the day after it was ordered. That 10% (20% - 10% = 10% x $119.00 - $11.90) is looking a bit less attractive . . . |

I have used Surdyke for years, and they have always been top notch. I am sure they will take care of you. I never mention them on here, well because you know. Anyway, I have also ordered from many of our sponsors, it just so happens that they are closer to the west coast for me (think shipping), than, say Liberty. --Sean |
