So what you're saying is...don't bring your bike to the track....ride someone elses! Nate, that bike night is up in Lowell. I'm at work tonight. I'll be around during the day if ya wanna zip around. So now I need a good set of leathers... To fix up my trackday hotel (vw vanagon).... And a new bike too. My wife is going to be so stoked! |

I know it can do the duty. I just can't afford to repair it again, and there is no support at the track for a Buell. Crashing a Honda will be more expensive than crashing a Buell, But your right when you say there is no support there. You can pick up parts there for a Honda or any other Jap Bike fairly easy, not so much for the Buells. You made the right choice, The Buell is not capable of doing "The Duty". They are Street Bikes, NOT Race Bikes...But this is only "MY" opinion... |

I was thinking about carrying a Blast around the back of the Uly as a spare. |

Ride Buell Get hit by ancient dirt bag driver lady Leg no work no more Dam...the bike being busted up and in the shop is STILL in better shape than I am. and...I've had about all the relaxing I can take...I honestly don't understand how people can live with themselves living off the system and staying out of work... |

It has been making a rather loud ticking noise as of late. So I figured it was time to tear it down before it grenaded. I'll fix it. Then ride it for the rest of the season. I have one bill that I want to pay off this winter. Then I'll most likely trade it/sell it and get something different. Here is what I found wrong with it so far: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/491597.html?1251806494 |

It is much easier to live off the system when one can ride all day.... Being on the couch milking an injury is no fun when it is nice outside... |

There isn't any trackside support at Loudon, but there mosst certainly is at other tracks. |

Nate and I were out cruisin around. He went a little too wide on a tight corner. So we stopped to asess the damage and my bike wouldn't run after. It starts. Won't idle, and has no power whatsoever. And the little engine light is on now. Does our ECM capture the defect codes??? |

Nates fine. Bikes just got some character now. It looked worse in my mirror than it was. It ended up being very minor. |

Just thought I'd let everyone know. I stopped buy Lacoina HD Buell on Saturday to pick up some oil and a filer, Long story short they are dropping Buell once they sell all they have. They have 3 red 09 1125CR's for $8000! and one 08 1125r for the same price.... |

funny i knew laconia had those 3 red cr's. i called about 3 weeks ago and spoke to one of the salesman and specifically asked if the were dropping buell, and was told they were not, but i knew he was full of shit. I saw the writing on the wall when the new owners took over last year. it's too bad they were a half way decent buell dealer before. oh well Hey luke, how was the wedding and honeymoon? Stu, we gotta hook up for a ride. Nate, WTF!

Bad news from down there...glad to hear you are both alright. Once you hook up ECM Spy you will be able to see the trouble codes... What happened to you? Software reset??? Works fine till you shut it down and then it won't restart? Did you try getting off the bike and then back on it???

Quick rundown: Start the bike (assuming it starts) and see if both headers get hot. Since you said it starts and you say it has no power & won't idle it sounds like it could be a fouled plug or bad/loose plug wire. If the plugs/wires are fine start looking for rubbing wires on the harness. Start at the front & work your way around the bike. Front fairing, under the seat, and near the starter are some common spots this happens. We can also get together and do some diagnostic tests with EcmSpy. Reset TPS/AFV while in there. Since you just had it apart I would also be looking at that stuff also. Good luck keep us posted. You missed to much riding already on our short season. We'll get you up and running quickly. I have a parts bike that says so...LOL |

Soon to be New England Bike Owners all over again. It seems like the Buell's should be the secondary bikes and not primary ride. |

I'm surprised it ran at all afterward. I've been nice to it too... Only hit the rev limiter once. That 1125 goes fast outta them corners. My little 9 didn't wanna keep up. I'm keeping my fingers crossed this is something silly. |

Wait, Jeff-- that don't work for me. By your logic, my primary bike is a '72 Honda? I'll stick with the Uly. |
