Just rolled in from ~720 mile trip home from Indy to North Jersey. The 1125r did awesome. 1632 total miles from Wednesday through today for the weekend. Did 120mph across the bricks at IMS during the parade lap! ac |

Did 120mph across the bricks at IMS during the parade lap! That's good. Glad you didn't eat poop, like the morons at the last Infineon AMA race. I wouldn't have believed it unless I was there to witness it. (Message edited by fresnobuell on September 01, 2009) |

Very disappointed that Buell wasn't there this year. Ducati isn't nearly as "friendly" as Buell was... you needed a special pass to sit in their bleachers. |

Yeah, Ducati definitely had some money pumped into that event. "Ducati Island". I talked with one of their factory techs. The 1125 valve adjustment may required rotating the engine and some other crazy stuff, but at least one COULD do it in their garage. The 848/1098 valve adjustment required so many special tools one could NEVER afford to do it themselves in their garage. ac |

ducati island for ducati owners. i have an 81 pantah 500cc that i bring the ownership papers to the races for entry. free espresso, water, snacks, etc. really nice way to provide owners a perk at the racetrack. ducati sales are tied to the racetrack image imo. tim(i like the free stuff) |

I was the guy walking around Ducati Island and bothering the factory techs with the Blue/Yellow Buell hat. I thought it was hysterical that they had espresso there! Buell needs to get on board with this and have "Buell outcast park" at the AmA races. We can have Milwaukee's Best beer and hot dogs. We will keep the attractive ladies, though. Ducati had it right there. ac (Message edited by avc8130 on September 02, 2009) |

I actually worked a volunteer shift at ducati island, it's great to park at track-side. I wore my mv agusta hat the whole time, people seemed to like it. |

Volunteer for Ducati? What does that accomplish? With all of their money they should be able to pay. They had their best year EVER last year. ac |

Well I'll tell you. The island needs people to help with gear check-in and out, parking of motorcycles inside the area, and at a second area, checking people in at the hospitality tent, and supporting the ducati staff at the tent. It takes allot of work. I own two buells and allot of other brands, (no jap bikes) and good or bad, ducati is the only one out there making a effort for their patrons. So there you are. |
