Felicita...Your Blast dies when you give it gas because the main jet is clogged with varnish. Gas that sits for more than a month will evaporate in the bowl and leave a gummy residue (varnish) in the bowl that clogs the main jet. They call it varnish because that's what it look like. When you open the throttle, the needle rises out of the main jet and it isn't getting any fuel to mix with the increase in air. Thats why it dies on you. It is a simple carb cleaning that you need and its very simple to do. Get with Mel and if he can't figure it out...I'm available. Goody |

Braces I work weekends myself. Just post up the day before. I'm almost always looking for somebody to ride with during the week. (Message edited by rlgiv on August 22, 2009) |

Hey, I didn't see any real new posts in weekend rides so I decided to post here. I know Oct is a over a month away, but I want to get out and enjoy so I am posting early. My Birthday is the first week in Oct and I want to get a good group to go riding with that weekend (Oct 3 or Oct 4) or soon there after, since I haven't been in awhile and there are a lot of new people out there. I know the usual ride is Sunday morning, but wanted to know if any other time was good for you all besides Sunday morning to go riding. I really didn't want to miss Church on Sunday, but would if that was the only time available. I got the kitchen pass and I am not getting any younger. |

That's right, I forgot about that. My pass doesn't get me to Suches, so we will have to plan for when you all get back. But I will let you all know. |

Felicita, It took me about 8 months before I changed out the exhaust, then, after another 8 months or so, I finally truly mod'd the CityX...I peeled off the warning label on the rear swingarm! Ask Jason, it goes WAY faster now that the sticker is gone! Ha! Congrats on the Duc. |

Mel, still have the Blast for a little while longer - have a buyer who will take it on the 1st. I really liked the xb12scg but couldn't find any used in my price range in the area and then this came along.... She's not brand new, but only has 500 miles on her - hasn't even hit the break in period yet . I'm debating now whether or not I want to get it lowered; I can't get enough foot on the ground to back it up... |

wow.... I don't understand these folks who get a motorcycle and then don't ride it! I just crossed the 20,000 mile mark on mine this weekend.... That's 200,000 in car miles! I guess it means, it's officially not worth anything to anyone except me! Well... talk to S1WMike, he's the Duc man around here. There are a couple others too.... Maybe the "Hooligans" can open up to all V-Twin Sports bikes? Who knows. |

I still have the Buell for a little while longer Thanks for the push, Mel He bought it in February, had shoulder surgery a month or so later with three months of rehab, and now his wife is pregnant so he had to get rid of it, regrettably (but not for me). |

XB12deepcreek. How large and wide is the crack? I would use JB weld for a temporary fix depending on where and how bad it really is. If its small, no problem to fix. Theres little to no pressure on the primary gear case. Goody |

I got to ride the 610 a little this weekend...dont have the tags on her yet so I spent most of the time cleaning it up. It really barks with that Yosh exhaust. Gents my son will be home on the 9th of Sept. and that weekend if ya'll are up for a ride I'd love to bring Mark out to meet ya'll and ride somewhere. Poes I believe is also that weekend. So who's up for a Poes Pub run the 2nd Sunday in September? |
