I took my 08 1125R in to the shop because the engine light came on and my cluster reported an IAC system error. When the checked it the tech said the intake valves in the rear cylinder were not closing completely. They said they would have to call BMC on tuesday (shop is closed on monday) and ask what might be causing this situation. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what was the solution? Just curious as to what this might be. Thanks. |

IAC = Idle Air Control (or circuit) This would be a throttle body item if I'm not mistaken. Nothing to do with the intake valve on the rear cylinder, or the front for that matter. |

That is what I thought as well, but they said the IAC error was due to the valve sticking open. I am not sure if they know for certain. Thank God for the warranty. |

Well, it wouldn't be an intake valve, it would be the IAC valve that controls the idle speed. Not sure of the fix without hunting through the service manual though. |
