Aaron: Is there a contact person I should ask for at Nallin Racing regarding puchase of Components / parts , or setting up a commercial account ?. Thank's Jeff |

Hey Jeff ... if you call, you'll likely get either Susan, who runs the business, or Brian, who runs the shop, either can help you out but depending on what you ask either one may defer to the other. We'll have someone specifically assigned for sales and dealer development before too long, hopefully, but right now it's a joint effort. |

It was pretty funny at the Indy dealer show ... a couple of times, I was talking with people in their booths, told them who I was with, and they said "do you know Susan?" Uh, yeah, kinda. She orders all the parts and pays all the bills, so lots more people in the HD performance industry know her than know me. |

I thought it had to do with Dan "I get #5 on Saturday!!" statement. Though I do believe there's an art to reading between Court's lines. Here's another quote from yesterday: Quote:In a business built upon a customer base numbering in the tens of thousands... you simply cannot please all the people all of the time; the best you can hope for is to please most of the people most of the time.
Recognize it? |

Damnit....I wish Blake and I were tapped into the motorcycle business so we'd know what major manufacturer just had an internal disaster ... By the way, ya gotta love this t-mobile stuff. I am sitting in pickup truck in a parking lot, in front of a Starbuck's adjacent to a consulting gig tapped into a wireless network. The quote sounds familiar. Gotta go....I don'ty do this pro bono crap for nothing....hey...wait...I DO ! |

Pilk: The simple answer, and I know I risk being accused of plaugaruizing another BBS, is that Court is a dork. I have the list of those who have paid for shirt beyond what the intiail order was. I made arrrangments with the manufacturer to do a "short run" and have, due to a bit of an ongoing personal attention diverter, been on my ass and just kept waiting for orders to stop draggin in..most from LA. I'll give him the GREEN LIGHT this weekend and post the expected delivery date. Thank you for your patience... Court |

Hey Blake, I think I know where those roads are that you’ve been talking about. That's the way I started a post to you yesterday. But I once again got a little carried away at the keyboard, so I'll post the rest of it in the Tales section. Capt. Pete |

So I went for a short ride to a local hang-out over the weekend to say hello to some friends. Met a guy named Eric with a nearly new Softail with about 15k on the odometer. Dirt bike rider all his life but he "always" wanted a Harley. He starts asking all kinds of questions about the S2. Handling, performance, comfort, etc. So we had a nice chat. He was very complimentary. But he finished by saying he'd always heard the Buells were something of a 'cult' bike. Meaning they weren't terribly popular but their owners tended to be fanatics who loved their bikes intensely. I never thought of it that way but it certainly describes me well. But if Court starts gathering us around to drink Kool-Aid I'm outta here! Jim in Santa Barbara |

Court's cult indoctrination techniques still need some work. The last attempt I witnessed involved an attempt at some kind of open zipper hypnotica. Wait a minute, it may have successfully found one victim, cause I recall shortly thereafter one member of Court's audience had donned a skirt and proceeded dancing on the table. Way to go Court! Blake PS: Then there was the guy in the bunny outfit in Time's Square. Pete, And what a great tale it is! Thanks for that. Made my day. |

You've inspired me, Blake, and you've also made me think back about Sean jumping up on the table that night. If a guy could only capture that in words. Why, you'ld have a best-seller if you could just follow him around for a couple of months, taking notes as you went. Wassup Rocket.... old buddy |

Pete, speaking of planes, received this from a fellow Bueller in Anchorage: >>. Strong winds from North. Lots of roofs blown off. Airplanes wrecked. 109 mph winds at airport tower. -50 wind chill. Thursday. a link to some visual devastation |

Buelliedan, Hey, you still at Bliss? I am headed there on an all expense paid trip, I'll be there for 30(+) days. Staying at the airport Hilton, commuting to Macgregor range every day, would like to see your collection and talk Buell stuff over some cold ones, if I get some down time and your not too busy. One more opinion question... somebody needs to talk me out of doing something stupid. As everyone is no doubt sick of hearing, I now have my rockerboxes off my cyclone. Back when I did the original leaking rockerbox repair, I bought replacement paper gaskets from the only place in town that had them in stock, a Harley shop. I put them in the way he said, but I think he told me to put them in upside down, because now they are bonded tight to the heads (instead of the rocker box). Either that, or they were just cheap / poorly thought out gaskets. I did not get them from an official harley shop, but rather a place that built up sporsters to drag race. I was able to clean the back head after much pain and suffering (it is pretty easy to get at on the bike). But I can't imagine cleaning that front, unless I pull the head. It is very hard to get in there. The gasket that is stuck tight to that thing now is still in perfect shape. No tears, nothing deformed, no signs of leakage. I am tempted (and need you to talk me out of) just throwing my new metal gasket on top of the old paper one, and just hoping for the best. Hey anybody know the P/N for S2T high bars? Or better yet anybody got a set they want to part with? This reach challenged Buelligan needs the extra help. OR anybody want to trade for a nice of clip-ons for an S2, with fairing extenders (so the bars clear the fairing). Ride more, lean more, Grin More. Neil S. |
