In my effort to get to know my fellow Buelligians- this weeks question is about your hobby(s). What are they?
I play the bagpipes, enjoy the outdoors with my twin boys and enjoy the Irish game of Hurling. In the off-season(winter) I also ride snowmobiles. What are some of your hobbies?
A lot of my life revolves around bikes - obviously I have the Buell and like track days with that, but I also have a 1964 Sportster XLCH that I'm getting ready to tear down for a restoration.
In the winter I do a lot of downhill skiing.
Year round I play drums in a band (we're getting there!).
I also just bought a house, so new hobbies include things like painting, building fences, stacking firewood, mowing the lawn, etc., lol
1. music-playing,listening,talking about. 2. keeping the better half happy(I never get it right for long) 3. kids. mine and my 2 toddler nieces 4. All things Buell, of course
My gf and I spend a lot of time volunteering at our church Snowboarding in winter, wakeboarding in summer (I LOVE MN!) Home improvement projects Motorcycling Hot rodding
The boys keep me busy. But their numbers are dwindling. One lives in Florida. One is working at being more and more independent, and is in college. The youngest is in High School, and thinks he's independent. I love riding.
I enjoy computer graphics. I'm starting to get back into dirk biking. The 50's are so much fun, it'll be illegal as soon as the government finds out.
First and foremost for me is spending time with my two year old and trying to insure that he has it better then i did. not that i had it bad just want better for him. then...... bikes scuba xbows xbox guns hunting fishing cars(fast ones) sex when my wife lets me sure im forgetting a few.
Riding --teaching MSF/Riders Edge courses --teaching taichichuan --practicing Chinese martial arts --writing yet-to-be-published novels --playing/learning cello --playing Bass guitar (looking for a band. Haven't been in one in 20 years.)
The line between hobbies and life is very blurred for me. So for me it is what engages me:
- I spend 2 hours a day with my wife around dinner and talking about this, that and the other thing. Today's topic was about similarities in languages. - This year, AMA racing has taken up some of my time. I've been to 6 events and helped out a Buell team at 4 of them. - My job is interesting and I love "inventing" new things to make my client's business better. It makes me think and there's nothing more rewarding than to help make a business work better. - Riding my Buells, oh yeah! - Helping develop an other person's business or life. Exciting stuff! - Watching the Science Channel and learn about the universe and physics. Amazing stuff is happening in the field of science.
other than ride I cook I draw I write and I do math and physics. and I am picking up welding and fabricating. check out my deviant art page if you are interested, I have it linked off of my profile page. I also play soccer and ride mountain bikes and study martial arts (12 styles so far) and I love to read.
Wow, a really big variety of stuff you folks get into
I sometimes think I have too many hobbies... Playing bass and guitar, singing, songwriting, performing. Listening to music - I always have something playing at home/work/in car, sometimes on the bike. On the hunt for modern rock bands at the moment. Playing around with motorcycles, dreaming up crazy ideas, reading motorcycle magazines. Riding motorcycles. Restoring/modifying my old Valiant and F100. Collecting model cars and motorcycles. Reading - fiction (spy stories, war stories, humour) and non fiction (music, cars, bikes, military, or history of) Playing with our puppies - Issy and Tyler Badweb! Messing around on facebook and myspace
I used to make model kits of cars/bikes/airplanes, I'd like to get back into it one day. I still have a whole heap of model railroad stuff packed in boxes which I can't decide whether to sell or start messing around with again.
Nice thread M2statz. Cheers!

Limitedx1-A friend of mine has the same car and tried to keep as stock a possible. Says any mods would ruin the "Beauty of the Car." Have you made any mods to yours?
I enjoy riding...reading...i'm a science fiction fan...food and grillin'...retired from racing, but crewchief and wrench for my old teammate...and lending the occasional hand where needed...
