just bought a xb12s 1200 and want it a bit louder and more power. i dont want to sacrifice any of the low end power. is there any exhaust that will do this? dont want to have to rev it get h p. thats why i just got rid of gsxr 750.

You will loose a little bit of bottom end with any free flowing after market exhaust. Just make sure to keep the air box intact and only use the stock air filter. That should keep as close to stock as possible. IMHO a small loss in bottom end is well worth being heard!

I've rode an XB12S with the SS Drummer, K&N, and race ECM. More responsive everywhere and marginally more power up top. It does the smoothest power wheelies of any bike I've rode...and sounds awesome.

ETA- Didn't realize this thread was so old...but it may help the next guy!?

Oh well, as long as you've reopened the thread, a SuperTrapp exhaust is tunable with its removeable discs.

You can add more discs for more top end power and noise or reduce the number of discs to make power like the stock muffler and be quieter.
