I did and regret it. This fall I'll have a fresh set of sides and will bolt'em to the outside of the gills. Also, as soon as I bolted my belly pan on it stiffened up the whole set. For sure call Pete. I use a Torque Hammer. There are others here that have used these side panels and belly pan with the stock pipe.
