What stories about "pulling the wool over the eyes" of the American People do You think Barack is sitting around the "campfire" telling Michelle, the kids and His half sister and Family? You know, the ones involving a lot of chuckling and spewing beer out of His nose while trying to tell it after a few too many Miller Lites? |

NY Governor Paterson has also played the race card. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/25/nyregion/25pater son.html When all else fails---cry racism. A ploy *usually* reserved for Liberals when they want to end a conversation. |

I've been concerned about Paterson from the git go . . I mean the guy comes into office to replace a fellow who is booted out for banging a hooker . . . 4 days later he admits he was doing the SAME thing . . . just a cheaper hooker and a cheaper hotel on the Upper West Side . . at the Day's Inn. But . . . . He qualifies it by saying . . . . I wasn't in my right mind at the time . . I was doing cocaine and smoking marijuana. And . . . . We collectively nod acceptance? It has nothing to do with race. The fellow falls below the standards we should demand of our leaders. Stupid knows no race. Where have all the leaders gone? |

I have no problem with the President taking a vacation. I don't have an issue with him taking it in Martha (Marxist?) Vinyards, an enclave of rich white people. I fully expect him to enjoy himself in a borrowed house, and understand the need to relax from the crushing pressures of the job formerly known as "leader of the free world". I have known since the primary that he considers himself an elite member of "smarter than you" society, ( Harvard? remember "The Paper Chase"? count the "leaders" we have had from that school, and consider the "progress" each of them has brought us. ( I admit to some irritation that William Jefferson Blythe Clinton's greatest national change, an acceptance of oral sex in high school as "not real sex" did not take place while I was in high school, and figure it's jealousy )) Such "elites" naturally prefer each others company, and should not be expected to be comfortable with bitter clingers of inferior moral character. ( like those pitiful people who think that the Constitution is SUPPOSED to be a "charter of negative rights" keeping government from doing things TO the people ) I hope he enjoys himself and gets to connect with his wife & children. ( Children, I might add, I have no issues with going to an exclusive private school. Security is much cheaper there, and nobody want's the President vulnerable to the pressure of a kidnapping. ) I do have issues with him not letting people in D.C. keep sending their children to private schools, and many other policies of B.H.O. .... but I have no problem with him being on vacation. |

No one seriously thinks he's actually on vacation do they? I'm sure he's still very much involved in the day to day stuff, just like he would be if he was in DC. Bush "vacationed" a lot in Texas. He wasn't really on vacation. |

And then there was the announcement that unemployment will get over 10% and the national debt will be 1.5 trillion in the next year (and as much as 9 trillion in the next 10 years) BUT HEY, the recession is OVER. Oh and I just heard that we, the USA, borrowed $$ from the Chinese to help finance the Cash for CLunckers program (Message edited by jumpinjewels on August 25, 2009) (Message edited by jumpinjewels on August 25, 2009) |

Not debt, deficit. The debt is already over 7 trillion. He plans to ADD 1.5 trillion to the debt next year and 9 trillion more over the next 10. It's worse than you think. Why can't the government stop spending money? How can we cut up their credit card? |

Why does it seem like he's on vacation every 5 minutes? How many vacation days does the President get? |

Why does it seem like he's on vacation every 5 minutes? How many vacation days does the President get? All Presidents are always on vacation! I can't remember Presidents Johnson's and Nixon's jaunts as a wee little lad was I (I'm still pissed at Mr. Nixon though...that's another story) and President Ford was always stumbling over something, but it seemed that every other week president Carter was off to Camp David for some needed relaxation, It seemed like every other week I had to see President Reagan with that bigass hat on his head riding Mr. Ed on his ranch or President Bush (sr.) cruising by that same damn bluff in Maine with those same 2 passengers in the boat! President Clinton DID f*** up traffic for me and every other hard working New Yorker every other week! We all remember President Bush (GW) walking around the Crawford ranch every other week with his cabinet. this was my personal favorite because besides VP Cheney, (when and if you could find him) every other member looked like they had just fallen out of a zeppelin dinner party and was about to be pounced upon by lions. So that brings us up to the current President, what will be his favorite haunt ?( Mr. Obama if you are reading this, New york sucks and there is absolutely nothing here of interest! in fact we are closed for renovations until 2012!) One thing for sure , He will be there a lot wherever that place may be. After all , it is tradition. |

Too late Greenlantern, Obama already shut down New York when his staff apparently thought it would be cool to have a couple of F-16's chasing a 747 flying low by the statue of liberty. Good thing this guy and his staff are the smartest people to ever assume the office, otherwise they would have done something *really* stupid. |

>>>Good thing this guy and his staff are the smartest people to ever assume the office, otherwise they would have done something *really* stupid. They now have a rival in stupidity . . . I just got off a "Telephone Town Hall" with AARP. I have never heard such blatant misinformation.
- It's not important YOU understand the bill . . we've read it on your behalf and it's good.
- 1/3 of you will be bankrupt the next year if we don't pass it.
- In response to a business owner who had read the bill, suggested it was very complex and we needed to understand it . . Rhonda Richards said "there is no time to wait, we must do this as quickly as possible".
- Rhonda went on to explain how we'll deal with rising drug costs. "we'll approve foreign made pharmaceuticals so Americans can buy drugs imported from abroad.
I'd quit AARP . . . now I am going to go to work actively opposing them tomorrow. This is insane. |

The framework for this revolution has been in the works for decades. Finally the socialists have all he groundwork laid; their shills in the unions, running the nationwide community organizations, and large advocacy groups like AARP are all on board. George Soros is on plan. AARP is just yet another shill for the socialists along with the labor unions, mainstream press, Hollywood, and of course Ft_Bstrd. |

I mean the guy comes into office to replace a fellow who is booted out for banging a hooker . . . It's only illegal to have sex with a hooker if you pay for it. But then if you don't I guess they could charge you with theft. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I have a serious desire to become directly politically active. Funny, I've been feeling the same way more and more lately, just hard to figure out where to get your foot in on a local level. I did just move to a red county, so that should help. |

AARP's card is worth the $12.95 per year for discounts on everything from rental cars to bad meals at national chain restaurants. I saw a piece about actor Jon Voight speaking at some rallies about Obama-Rahma starting a civil war. I, too, am worried about violence as the political boil comes to a head. Hope not. Use non-violence to embarrass the current powers-that-be making all the trouble. Where's my Ghandi loincloth? "I cannot teach you violence, as I do not myself believe in it. I can only teach you not to bow your heads before any one even at the cost of your life." --Mahatma Gandhi |
