Just wondering what the fastest any of you have have your stock Uly up to. I was up around 110 and maybe could have gotten 115 but probably not too much more. Just curious. |

Anything above 65 in this area would be illegal. I did, however, pick up 2X bonus points on Route 214 back to DC after a DC Buell group ride, which legally doubled my speed. I was REALLY overdue to help my new wife pack up her apartment so it could be mashed into my house. Eh, anyway, about 103 on the Uly. I'll get 'er up higher one of these days. Zing! Froggy, that is still the funniest part of your profile. I can only imagine the surprise - and the danger - of seeing a Buell windshield fly off at high speed. Funny to imagine afterwards. Zing! This weekend when I was out playing in the country side. I was able to crank her up a bit. I hit 118 as shown on the GPS. There was plenty more there but not enough road. I was not worried about the windshield since I replaced all of the fasteners with new hex socket screws and large diameter washers long ago. The windshield partially came off at 60 MPH. Soon after that, the recall came out. |

110 on GPS with passenger and loaded with camping gear. Unknown speed alone, due the curvy nature of the autobahn outside of Belgium I am usually too busy cornering. |

Whoever hit 145 better have the speedo checked. That is way past the rev limiter. |

130 speedo indicated on the high bank at Nashville Superspeedway. That was in the cool morning air. Once it got hot, I couldn't hit that mark anymore. Can't wait to get the 1125 to the track. That thing is a rabid beast! |

The bike is geared to 140 from the factory, my speedo reads in the 150ish range at wide open in 5th. Closed course goes without saying, lol. |

Galloper I probably just went through your town last week to do this again. http://www.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123142854 I am actually in that top pic as well. I was the crewchief and Fear was my handlineman. If you click download hi-res you can see me looking over his shoulder. |

this was on my 08 with the big ass barn door sized Cee Bailey windshield and the Happy-trail panniers. In 5th gear I could not get over 126 mph, but by dropping back to fourth I got up to 137 mph. The best thing about this was that the GPS and the speedometer were the same! I sold my Uly last fall, I'm still missing it! |

Don't always believe the GPS speeds. Pulled over by a NY State Trooper going an indicated 66-67 mph on GPS, as he and my harley riding friend said... I was actually going 78+... in a 55 zone. No ticket just a friendly 'recommendation' to slow down. I was a little mystified, always thought the GPS would be more accurate. Using a Mio C320 in a dry box... works great, large screen and good maps. Lousy POI database but otherwise better than the old magellan I was using. Top speed indicated by speedo has been 127-128 ish... there was definitely more but was running out of road in the Adirondack park (Message edited by tiltcylinder on September 02, 2009) |

The only reason the GPS wouldn't be accurate was if it had poor reception or you are using a sub par unit. |
