I'm still playing with mounting my Stebel. Your pictures would be informative. |

Okay, here is where I found a good spot to mount the Fiamm horn using its stock bracket in an unused hole in the left rad pod. The hole is what I thought is an unused hole but is actually the place where the data connector is secured with a nylon push fastener. This view shows how the horn is mounted on the left rad pod.
This view shows how the horn looks as viewed from the left.
This view shows how the horn looks as viewed from the rear facing forward on the left side. Notice the horn appears to tilt outward from the bottom. This positioning may be changed by slightly bending the Fiamm bracket to tilt the horn inwards toward the motorcycle by a small amount if need be.
This view shows the front of the motorcycle at the height of the front wheel. The horn can barely be seen as a small bump on the line of the rad pod on the right of the picture. |

Could you use the stock circuitry, or did you need to install a relay to power it? |

Right now I'm using a pair of short extender wires that plug into the the stock wiring. It would be better to have both the high tone of the stocker and the low tone of the Fiamm. So I'm planning to wire both horns using a relay when I find a suitable place to mount the relay. Possible locations are on the same bolt that is holding the horn bracket or there is some spare room inside the left pod that might work also. |

What ever relay you use, it would be good to wipe some sili-seal around all the terminals and case joints. They really love to suck up some water and....... their life is really shortened. I'm going to see if I can mount my Stebel where you mounted yours. I think I'll still mount the air compressor under the seat to keep it out of the weather. I played with it last night and I am still amazed at how REALLY LOUD this thing is! Saw the dogs this morning on the way out to the highway. THey will be SURPRISED when they come after me next time! It will be painful to their ears, for sure. Later Neil S. |

I'll mount it on your CR facing you! That will surely keep you awake. If you don't like that then maybe you might like the Stebel when I get it mounted. Time2Roll Neil S. |

Here are some picts of the compressor mounting for the Stebel:
Now all I have to do is mount the actual horn, run an airline from the compressor to the horn and a little electrical work (the easy stuff). Neil S. |

Nice! Perfect spot for the compressor, at least for non CA bikes. Is there an air filter that goes on the end or does it even need one? |

Heck I don't even know where the compressor's intake is. It has to be on the terminal end (3rd picture down). After 26,000+ miles under the seat looks pretty clean so I guess I'll skip the filter. Now to find a place for the horn. I take time on these little installs so I don't (usually) have to do them 2 or 3 times. Later Neil S. |
